Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to NIKITA TERRY. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
NIKITA, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with talking about how you serve the underserved, because in our view this is one of the most important things the small business community does for society – by serving those who the giant corporations ignore, small business helps create a more inclusive and just world for all of us.
I was raised by two amazing grand-parents that were unable to read or write. They instilled great values in me, through them I was taught to live a life with honesty and integrity. Growing up we didn’t have much but we had genuine love. I remember going to school and only having one or two fairy decent pieces of clothing which included only one pair of shoes. We usually started school with only a few sheets of paper and one pencil. My sister and I got picked on a lot because of the limited clothing and school supplies. This was in the 60’s and early 70’s so I can only imagine what children go through now. That is one of the reasons I founded Charlotte’s House Outreach Ministry, it is named after my sister who passed away from breast cancer. Charlotte’s House main focus is to serve the impoverished, the one’s that often get looked over. Each year I do an outreach that provides children in need with backpacks filled with school supplies, hygiene items, haircuts or hair styles and a weeks worth of gently used washed and ironed school clothes, new socks and gently used clean shoes . Charlotte’s House also provides care packages filled with fresh fruit and hygiene items to the homeless. We also do blanket outreaches in the winter time to the homeless and local nursing homes as well go to various senior citizen care homes to play bingo with prizes to the winners. At Charlotte’s House we meet people where they are and give them needed resources to create a better life style
NIKITA, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I got into the industry of Outreach because it’s not that I have so much but because I know what it feels like to have nothing. I also am owner of Living With Purpose where I am a Certified Life Coach. A Life Coach is a type of Wellness Professional who helps people make progress in their lives in order to attain greater fulfillment. I also am the the owner of Notary Plus where I am a bonded Mobile Traveling Notary I notarize deeds, Wills, Power of Attorney and Contracts. My Mobile Travel Services include Weekends, Holidays, After Hours and Hospital Services. I also provide copy and fax services upon request. The one thing that sets me apart is that I am not afraid of challenges I actually received my college degree at the age of 62, graduating Cum Laude with honors after being inducted into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Sigma Kappa Delta Honor Society and National Society of Collegiate Scholars. I am looking forward of returning back to school in the fall to further education in Criminal Justice. I currently am a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor Intern , I work for a corporation that houses about 200 inmates that are enrolled in a substance abuse treatment center and I am proud to be one of the counselors on staff there.
We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
The one thing that helped build my reputation was people knowing and believing in who I was and and my level of integrity
