We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nikita Bourn a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Nikita, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you have any advice regarding quality control and maintaining quality as your brand grows?
As my company grows, I maintain the quality of my service by staying abreast of current trends in the childcare industry, as well as the changing needs and demands on families. One of the most effective quality controls we’ve out in place is our extensive and exclusive nanny application and screening process. We require all of our candidates to have previous nanny experience, as well as at least 3 good references from families they have worked with. In addition, our team personally interviews candidates before they can be considered for any potential position with one of our families. Having a clear flow for communication with the family during the placement process has also ensured the quality of our service is top tier and proactive.

My name is Nikita Bourn. I am a Texas Native, and the founder and owner of Elite Nanny League, a professional nanny referral agency. I am the proud mother to three beautiful and active children, and wife to retired MLB player, Michael Bourn. I understand the significance of families having access to dependable and experienced childcare providers in order to support children at all stages of their development, which is what inspired me to start my company. I was once a mother that couldn’t find a skilled, reliable, and professional nanny, so I made it my mission to provide high-quality childcare specialists to families and organizations in order to meet each one’s unique needs and desires. I believe that our personalized approach to working with families to understand their family dynamics, and our exclusive application and screening process for our nanny candidates truly sets us apart from other agencies. My team is committed to consistently providing exceptional service and support to every family and nanny we work with. How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I started Elite Nanny League in 2016 and was a one woman show for many years. I worked diligently to build my brand and clientele, and most of my clients would come from referrals and word of mouth. Over the years I have stayed true to the mission of providing the best nannies to families, and have built our reputation by ensuring families are satisfied with the nanny they hire. Our families help maintain our reputation by sharing their experience with our agency with their family, friends, co-workers, on social media, and by leaving reviews on various platforms.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
I believe the most effective strategy for growing our clientele has simply been maintaining the quality and effectiveness of our nanny search process. The process includes how we get to know each family during the consultation, to matching the best qualified candidates for them to interview, and providing the family and nanny with support and resources during and after the placement is complete.
