We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nikita Belomestnykh. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nikita below.
Nikita, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
Naming a business is definitely one of the toughest steps in building a brand, but for us, it was also an opportunity to make a statement. When we came up with NO LONGER NETWORK, it was born from both a literal and metaphorical place. In the beginning, we primarily focused on short-form content, and the name reflected that—“no longer” referred to the length of the pieces we were creating. It was a fun play on words, signaling that our content wouldn’t be drawn out but still impactful.
But as we dug deeper, the name began to take on a much more profound meaning. The entertainment industry, in our view, has been undergoing a slow but significant decline, a collapse accelerated by events like the pandemic and the recent SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes. This shift has highlighted some of the industry’s deep-rooted issues—namely, its obsession with profit over passion, and metrics over meaningful storytelling. We saw an industry that had started losing its soul, and we wanted to position ourselves against that trend.
That’s where the “no longer” really took shape for us. We didn’t want to be part of a network or system that was content with business as usual, ignoring independent art, diverse voices, and true creativity. NO LONGER NETWORK became our way of saying we’re done trying to fit into an industry that no longer represents what filmmaking is supposed to be. Our goal is to carve out our own space, focusing on stories that matter, driven by passion rather than algorithms.
In the end, NO LONGER NETWORK isn’t just a name; it’s a philosophy. It reflects our mission to break away from the conventions and constraints of the current entertainment landscape and build something new—something real and meaningful.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
The key to maintaining high morale is truly listening to your team. A lot can be improved in the daily workflow just by addressing human needs, which in turn gives your team the confidence and motivation to stand by you when bigger challenges arise. In film production, it’s crucial to not only welcome feedback but actively seek it. Small gestures make a big difference—providing good food on set tailored to what your team wants, ensuring payments are made on time, and managing logistics smoothly.
Equally important is giving your team the space to lead their own departments. You hired them for their expertise and talent, so trust them to take the reins and excel. In many ways, they should be guiding you on how best to approach their work, not the other way around. Empowering your team like this builds trust and fosters a sense of ownership and pride in the project.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing our clientele has been consistent networking and personal follow-ups. Meeting people face-to-face, building genuine relationships, and showing authentic interest in both what we do and what they’re passionate about has been key. It’s not just about making connections but about offering help and learning from those you admire. By continually putting ourselves out there, maintaining visibility, and staying engaged in the community, opportunities and projects naturally start to flow in. It’s all about being present, proactive, and open to collaboration.
