Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Niki Pearson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Niki, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?
Yes, I am definitely happier as business owner. Having your own brand presents its own set of challenges and responsibilities but I prefer to call my own shots. Working a permanent job for 16 years came with financial security, constant work and stability.
However, entrepreneurship comes with creative freedom, manifestation of original ideas and opportunities.
I have witnessed myself grow in areas that have challenged my personal development and push my boundaries. The ability to take an idea and watch it come to life from my own mind and perspective is something special.
I have definitely questioned my decision especially financially due to the inconsistency that comes with business ownership.
My reward supersedes the money because I have found purpose and tapped into my passion. I am definitely on a guided path of self improvement and discovery.
In my opinion the employer and employee relationship leads to stability but hinders your ability to develop in certain areas.
Entrepreneurship is the best decision for me personally I have ever made.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Niki Pearson I worked in the aviation industry for 16 years and at the peak of Covid an opportunity for early retirement presented itself and I took it. Honestly, I was in a transition period where I was seeking a different opportunity and was seeking change.
My first year of retirement was all about finding new inspiration and finding my new path. My mother who has always been my inspiration and always gives me ideas said a friend of hers in Atlanta had a kids spa themed party bus and told me to consider it. I was reluctant at first but she recommended I should aleast talk to her to see if this would work for me.
We spoke after playing phone tag for two days and an hour later I was sold. Carmen is her name and she had so much knowledge and even was involved with mentorship so she was the perfect person to gain insight from.
Carmen shortly after began to mentor me and made herself available for any questions or concerns I had. I began my journey to find my bus, pick a brand name and acquire the proper legal tools to legitimize my brand. The rest is history.
We are the first and only spa themed party bus for girls ages 3-16 in Las Vegas. We service all of the Las Vegas valley. We specialize in spa themed mobile parties, birthdays, sleepovers, kids picnics and mobile karaoke parties.
We have partnered with several local vendors to provide our clients with custom cakes, treats, marquee letters, catering services, face painting services, etc.
Our mission is to provide a stress free party experience that allows parents to enjoy the experience of hosting a event for their children with out clean up, hosting or facilitating. We are a luxury party experience that brings the party straight to your door.
What sets Kuties & Kupcakes apart from other brands is we are family owned and operated. We treat each and every one of our guests like family. My children host parties with me. We do all the decor ourselves and we love what we do. We truly love the children we host and have a passion to make their experiences unforgettable. It’s a personal experience from the time of booking up to the day of the party.
I am proud to be the trailblazer and first to bring this unique party experience to Las Vegas.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
We are still growing and there is definitely more growth ahead. I think what has truly helped my reputation has been consistency. We give the same effort for every party experience and we have never changed. I also think constantly revamping our offerings and creating new ways to improve upon our party experience. We treat our guests like family and we are looking for the wow factor.
We never get to comfortable with one method of doing things. We are constantly evolving.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
This is a interesting story. I was asked by a social media influencer to host a party for her daughter’s birthday. Her following was about 60k so I saw it as a great opportunity. It was a trade for my services I would get a post and reel. I did my research to see what her other work looked like and she was amazing so I just knew it was a great opportunity.
We began to communicate regarding the party and her demands became more than expected. We normally host 8-10 girls at a time I was asked host 18 for free.
When planning an activity for our craft portion I always ask what they would like and she didn’t know so I recommended something. She was fine with that idea.
I had other parties that weekend and they were paid so I had limited time and energy but I pushed through and her decor came out amazing. When we arrived the party went amazing and we got it done. She even tipped me for my time.
Now I have delivered on my promise it was time for her to produce my reel and post. I asked her and she said it would be done soon. I hosted her party in October I didn’t get anything from her until after the holidays .
I was frustrated and I felt like she didn’t honor her end at all. I stayed positive and professional in spite of what I wanted to do and say.
After finally continuing to hold her accountable she finally did the reel and made comment regarding the activity and said she actually wanted something else when in fact to told me to choose.
She didn’t do a post and I basically didn’t get everything that she promised despite hosting the best party her daughter ever had those were her words.
But I never waived and keep it together even though she was in the wrong. I even have gone on to host another influencer and it went very well.
