We were lucky to catch up with Ni’kay Ranae recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ni’Kay , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
Taking risks in business is stepping into the unknown. It is important to stay consistent even when you face challenges and obstacles.I took the risk and moved to Georgia over a year ago from Wisconsin. I took this risk to grow my business and love for Fashion Design. Since being in Georgia I have grew in so many ways. This was the best decision not only for me but my family as well.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a designer and stylist located in Atlanta, Georgia. I have a unique style when it comes to designing. Every garment created is different with a touch of my personality.
I got into this industry because I was so inspired by my older sister at a young age watching her dress and create looks to wear to school. I am a self taught designer but furthered my education and went to college for fashion design and business management.
I am always professional with my clients and make sure all their needs are meet when creating their garment. My designs are for all women of different shapes and sizes.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I stay in touch with my clients through email and social media. Most of my consistent clients contact me via phone or text. I stay connecting with them every chance I get. A business is like building a friendship that grows stronger.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What has helped me build my reputation is my clients. Most of the clients I have learned of me through word of mouth.
