We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Niharika Khanna. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Niharika below.
Niharika, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Is there a lesson you learned in school that’s stuck with you and has meaningfully impacted your journey?
The most important lesson I learned in school, as cliche as it sounds, was the importance of teamwork! Growing up, I was always a person who thrived when I worked by myself. I was good at setting timelines, was realistic about what I could achieve, and was comfortable with my way of working. With few initial successes, I believed I worked better alone! However, as time passed, I realized It is almost impossible to succeed at any task without the support of a team of people working towards the same goal. As we grow in our careers, we get better and better at a few things, and eventually, we’re experts in a specific subject area. Like us, our friends, and colleagues are doing the same. Collaborating, and sharing ideas, knowledge, perspectives, and experiences makes careers interesting and eventually leads to a successful organization. After all, teamwork makes the dream work!
Niharika, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I got into this industry initially as a hobby with no intentions to run a business. I enjoyed writing, and I wanted to write about products that are unique and exciting. To my surprise, many people liked to read about these products and trusted my knack for them before making purchasing decisions. My blog became a catalog and a lot of support started pouring in! Soon after, I started receiving orders from people all around the world. I am still in the initial phase of the business as I work full time at an organization as well. I am excited to see where this takes me!
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
Feedback! Both positive and negative are extremely important to managing a team and maintaining high morale. Providing positive feedback is less challenging as compared to negative feedback as we all know. Learning the art to communicate negative feedback without it coming across as criticism is crucial.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Honesty and communication are both key to building brand loyalty and client relationships.
