We recently connected with Nigeria Hills and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Nigeria, thanks for joining us today. Any thoughts about whether to ask friends and family to support your business. What’s okay in your view?
Family and friends are my biggest supporters. When I started Oh So Pretty Kreations, my first customer was my mom. My family and friends supports my business and take it seriously so they don’t ask for discounts because they’re aware that this is a way I provide for my son. But I have a big heart so there isn’t I time that I don’t show my gratitude and appreciation for their continuous support.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I started Oh So Pretty Kreations in 2021 as away to save money for my son’s birthday parties; parties are really expensive especially when you’re a detailed planner. I watched YouTube to learn the foundation of creating party favors and the my business flourished from there. I started out just doing party favors now I offer customized items such as tumblers and marketing and branding items. I assist my clients in executing their parties by providing sentimental keepsakes that will last a lifetime. I’m so proud of the business owner I have blossomed into because I’ve always been so hesitant about taking that leap of faith and betting on myself but with OSPK I know my business is leaving an impression on those that have purchased or received a custom Kreation.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Word of mouth and creating content. I receive DMs and new follows consistently and I know it’s because of my previous clients as well as what I post to my social media pages. I try to post daily just to keep my page circulating but at times it definitely becomes overwhelming lol. But that’s why I love the word of mouth avenue because one thing people are going to do is talk.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
The journey itself of where I am today paints a beautiful portrait of resilience. I’m a mom, a business owner and i have a full time job; that alone is enough to make anyone just give up but I see the bigger picture. I’m human so I definitely have my moments where I question if I should keep going with my business but I know things are temporary and God wouldn’t have brought me this far to let everything go.
