We recently connected with Nicole Spracale and have shared our conversation below.
Nicole, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Have you ever had an amazing boss, mentor or leader leading you? Can you us a story or anecdote that helps illustrate why this person was such a great leader and the impact they had on you or their team?
I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredible leaders, but one stands out above the rest. He had a way of pushing me beyond what I thought I was capable of—never harshly, never without support, but with a steady belief that “good” shouldn’t be the finish line. He refused to let me get too comfortable, and at the time, I didn’t always appreciate that. Looking back, I’m grateful every day.
One of my favorite examples came early in my role, when he “voluntold” me to lead a new product launch. It was pretty different from anything I had done before, and he knew it. He gave me enough freedom to truly own the work, while ensuring I had the necessary resources, access, and support to avoid feeling abandoned. I made mistakes along the way—plenty of them—and ultimately, the product didn’t succeed as a standalone offering.
But instead of treating it like a failure, he treated it like a classroom. He walked me through what worked, what didn’t, and how I could take those lessons into the next challenge. He taught me that leadership isn’t about perfection; it’s about growth, resilience, and being willing to step up again with more wisdom than you had the first time.
His belief in me changed the trajectory of my career. He didn’t just develop my skill set—he developed my confidence. And that impact is still with me today.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started my career in retail sales and operations, and it didn’t take long to figure out that my favorite part of the job was never the merchandise; it was the people. That discovery pulled me into talent acquisition and development, where I spent the early part of my career helping teams grow, leaders lead, and organizations hire the right humans for the right seats. Somewhere along the way, I became obsessed with the connection between people, purpose, and results. When those three line up, businesses stop feeling chaotic and start feeling intentional.
That curiosity led me straight into the world of consulting and coaching. I began partnering with founders and entrepreneurs in professional services and tech-enabled businesses, helping them scale without losing their minds in the process. I also discovered the magic of the EOS framework and, even better, found my ideal seat as an Integrator. Today, I serve as the COO and Integrator for the Fox Family of Brands.
At Fox Grants, Fox Campaigns, and Fox Fractional, we help nonprofits and mission-driven organizations grow stronger and more sustainable. Our work spans fundraising, capital campaigns, grant writing, and fractional executive leadership. Whether a client needs strategic guidance, hands-on execution, or a partner to help stabilize and scale their organization, we meet them where they are and help them move forward with clarity and confidence. What sets us apart is simple; we care deeply, we know our craft, and we actually do the work alongside our clients rather than handing them a binder and wishing them luck.
I am most proud of the impact we get to make with organizations improving communities every single day. The wins are exciting; the missions are inspiring; and being able to play a role in that is a privilege I never take lightly. If there is one thing I hope potential clients and partners take away, it is that I bring a people-first, purpose-driven, results-oriented approach to everything I do. My goal is to help leaders build businesses and teams that feel aligned, supported, and fully capable of delivering on the vision that brought them here in the first place.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I’d like to think any reputation I’ve built comes from a mix of intense curiosity and a genuine belief in caring for people. I am absolutely not perfect, and I remind myself often that I have a lot left to learn. That mindset keeps me actively seeking new ideas, new perspectives, and new ways to grow. I’ve always approached my work with a commitment to explore, ask better questions, and push myself to do a little more than I did yesterday.
Along the way, I’ve made it a priority to connect people, share resources, and help whenever I can without expecting anything in return. I believe the more we support one another, the stronger our community becomes, and I try to show up that way in every space I’m in. If that has contributed to my reputation, then I’m genuinely grateful — because those are the values I want to be known for.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
For me, managing a team well really comes down to genuinely caring about the people you lead. I try to take a real interest in who they are, what they’re working toward, and what they need to be successful. When people know you value them, morale naturally rises.
I’m also a big believer in being clear and honest with feedback, whether it is praise or something that needs to improve. People deserve to know where they stand, and they deserve to hear it in a way that is respectful and about their growth, not criticism for the sake of criticism.
And even when it becomes clear the fit isn’t quite right and you need to part ways, the conversation should still come from honesty and respect. How you handle those moments says as much about your leadership as anything else. When you lead with care, clarity, and sincerity, people feel it — and the team is stronger because of it.
