Nicole, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

I decided to take a “leap of faith” and quit my job in February 2019. I always dreamt of exploring the world while learning about all various natural ingredients. Right after quitting, I traveled to Honduras, Columbia, India, Africa & China.

I was on a mission to connect with other cultures and learn their practices in haircare. I’ve suffered from dry and damaged hair for a while. I’ve tried numerous products. and nothing worked!

My inspiration to create an “intercontinental blend” of natural ingredients was at an all-time high. I created an entire hair growth system that effectively improved the health of my hair and scalp. I saw results like never before.

Beyond Botanix is an all-natural chemical free haircare line. The goal is for our hair to be healthy and BEYOND from the inside out. I turned my VISION into ACTION and created an entire Healthy Hair Growth System. My story definitely sets me apart from others because I took a huge leap of faith. I decided that I wanted to be my own boss and basically did what most people wouldn’t do. I dived into uncomfortably to follow my dreams. I’ve gotten comfortable with being uncomfortable. I went through many trails and tribulations to get to where I am now. I’m BEYOND proud of myself.

My Degrees & Certificates:
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology & Social Research. I earned my MBA in Supply Chain Management. I studied abroad in India and earned my certified in Cosmetic Technology. I also enrolled in The School of Natural Skin care and received my certification in Formulating Haircare and Skincare Products,

I made sure I educated myself each and every step of the way. My brand is My Story

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I built my audience on social media by putting out inspiring content. I put out a few viral videos and built my following. I showed my entire journey on TIK TOK, Instagram & Facebook. It was liked and shared by many.

Not only did I post great content, but I go make my products LIVE with hundreds of viewers sometimes thousands. I make sure I keep the people engaged and interactive. I learned key points in “Controlling the Room”.
I’m not afraid to speak in front of thousands of people. I’m not afraid to mess up either. That’s the beauty of being myself no matter what and people LOVE IT!

Okay – so how did you figure out the manufacturing part? Did you have prior experience?

I formulate my own products at home. I’ve created an entire lab in my living room. My living room is my lab and Office.

Before I created my lab, I contacted various manufacturers however they were too costly. I also didn’t feel comfortable with disclosing my formulas etc. I decided that it was in my best interest to formulate my own products.
