Nicole, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?

Being successful is one of those things that vary in definition depending on each person and their goals. Personally, being successful is about being genuinely happy and at peace with yourself. Being able to live the life you desire, being in a position to help family, friends and those in need. It’s making your dreams become reality. And accomplishing what I believe we all aspire, financial freedom. From experience, objectives like this will require your greatest dedication and determination. Success requisites time, patience, strength, believing in yourself and maintaining focus on the objective. As well as willingness to sacrifice being comfortable to break that everyday cycle and excel in your career or business. Once you’re there it will be gratifying.

Nicole, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Nicole Saavedra, I was born in Cali, Colombia. Moved to the United States at a young age. And ever since, Miami has been home. Throughout my journey I have definitely prevailed various tribulations and lessons but every downfall has made me a stronger, wiser woman. And each blessing and accomplishments that has unfolded in my life, simply assured me I am on the right path to success.

Embodied By Nicole is my lingerie brand. It was founded in 2019 and concentrated on one objective, inclusion. My vision for this brand was for it to be authentic and empowering. I launched EBN to help women learn to appreciate their bodies, embody their imperfections and love who they are. As women, we should all empower one another instead of constantly judging or suppressing each other. Part of this, I believe is society and negative social media content. Which manages to set these outrageous standards of “perfection”. To the point it consumes people with a wrongful impact on what the perception of beauty should be. Therefore, Embodied by Nicole lingerie curated to mainly focus on self love, inclusion and unique beauty. To bring out the confidence and embrace all different women and body types. Confidence is the sexiest thing a woman can wear, as long as you believe it, everyone else will see it.

Ever since we opened, I must acknowledge the appreciation and support from women all around has definitely been very meaningful.

How did you build your audience on social media?

To be honest social media has been one of the greatest tools for my business. It has connected me to beautiful women and many talented people all around. It has provided an opportunity to meet and interact with clients and network with other business owners and creators. One of the main things I would personally encourage for maintaining or growing an audience is to be genuine and consistent. Get to know your clients, intake their feedback and desires. After all, your clients are your supporters and one of the main reason your business succeeds. Never stop working, promote yourself and your brand. Explore growth options and attend or part take in any events or networking you have the ability to. Quite honestly, If it wasn’t for connections I have acquired, I wouldn’t have been able to obtain some of the opportunities and exposure my business has.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?

Being able to create and launch this business was definitely one of the hardest but most rewarding accomplishments I have. I honestly started with my own personal capital, no loans or credit lines. Just my passion, hard work and dedication. It required sleepless nights, taking risk and making investments out of my personal money. Of course there has been losses like in every business but overall it has been a success. You need to believe in yourself even at the darkest times, life is limitless. And thankfully my vision for Embodied By Nicole turned out to be exactly what I desired.
