Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nicole Rumbold. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Nicole, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
Opening The E Company was a risk for me. There is so much that goes into owning a small business. It doesn’t happen overnight, it takes time. However, no risk, no reward. I have seen my little business grow so much in the last 9 months, I can totally see the end goal. I think hard work will eventually pay off, it already is.
Nicole, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I have been a realtor for 5 years. I’ve learned from real estate that if you can rent something that is a big need, it will make you money. The E Company is a photography studio & event space you can rent by the hour. What sets us apart is there are hardly any studios in this area for small events and photographers. I am proud of my business because I started out knowing nothing about photography, and over the last 9 months, I have gotten advice & tips from photographers and it has helped me improve my services so much. I have met a ton of awesome people in this industry & formed so many business relationships.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
There were many times in real estate and The E Company where I’ve had to change up my marketing to grow my businesses. I believe when you run a business, you need to throw ideas out there and try them all until something sticks. That’s how you figure out what makes it successful and what doesn’t.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
For real estate and The E Company, communication….100%. Answering clients and being friendly.
