We were lucky to catch up with Nicole Retchin recently and have shared our conversation below.
Nicole, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
A recent “big risk” I took was when I purchased my own commercial kitchen in the beginning of 2021. Prior to this, I was renting different kitchens in the South Florida area for several years. Being a single mom with 2 kids, this was something that weighed on me but I knew the only way I was going to take my business to the next level, was to take the risk! It’s a lot of work but it is definitely paying off. I’m thankful for all the support I’ve received through the years and continue to do so.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Miami is a very small place and I always stay true to having a good product. I started very small and I grew over time. I’m grateful to say that I work with the same clients I have had since inception and my product just keeps getting better and better even over the years.
Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Being true to yourself, attention to detail, having a good product and not skimping because something is expensive. I also like to surround myself with a positive team that has the same vision and values that I have.
