Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nicole Nemiroff. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Nicole thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was opening my business, Nicole’s Beauty.
I’ve always believed that growth comes from taking chances. My mindset has always been, “What’s the worst that could happen?” If something doesn’t work out, you learn from it, adjust, and try again. Most successful people have failed at some point, and I’ve always viewed failure as part of the learning process rather than something to fear.
When I decided to open Nicole’s Beauty, not everyone thought it was the right move. Even some of my family members expressed concerns and told me it was risky. Their intentions were good—they wanted to protect me and came from a more traditional mindset—but they couldn’t fully see the vision I had for myself.
I spent a lot of time researching the industry, creating a business plan, understanding the financial commitment, and making sure I was taking a calculated risk rather than simply jumping in without preparation. There were moments when the amount of advice I received almost caused me to second-guess myself. I realized, however, that while it’s important to listen to others and learn from their experiences, no one else can see your vision exactly the way you do.
Ultimately, I decided to trust myself and move forward. Opening Nicole’s Beauty required me to step outside my comfort zone, invest in myself, and believe in something before I could see the results. It wasn’t always easy, and there were challenges along the way, but taking that risk turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made.
The experience taught me the importance of confidence, preparation, resilience, and trusting my instincts. It also reinforced a lesson I carry with me today: sometimes the biggest opportunities in life come from being willing to take a well-thought-out risk, even when others aren’t sure it will work out. Looking back, I’m proud that I trusted my vision and had the courage to pursue it. The success of Nicole’s Beauty has shown me that believing in yourself, doing the work, and being willing to take calculated risks can lead to incredible outcomes.

Nicole, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I work across several industries where beauty, education, and impact intersect, including nonprofit organizations, accredited beauty schools, high schools, charity initiatives, and professional beauty events. My focus has always been on creating meaningful partnerships that go beyond surface-level education and instead deliver real transformation — both personally and professionally.
A large part of my work is serving as a guest educator at beauty schools, where I provide hands-on, customized training for licensed estheticians, cosmetologists, and barbers. My sessions are designed to elevate technical skill while also strengthening business understanding. I don’t just teach brow waxing and tinting techniques — I teach how to refine artistry into a sustainable income stream, how to build client loyalty, and how to develop a service-based business that can scale with confidence and clarity.
I also lead immersive workshops and training sessions that are focused on both craft and entrepreneurship. These include advanced brow artistry, skin health and hygiene education, and the foundations of launching a cosmetic product line. I place a strong emphasis on teaching professionals how to understand ingredients, build intentional brands, and structure beauty businesses that are profitable and long-term. For me, education is not just about improving technique — it’s about expanding possibility.
In addition to technical training, I am regularly invited to speak at panels and events centered around entrepreneurship, mentorship, confidence, professionalism, and overcoming adversity in the beauty industry. My speaking style is rooted in transparency and lived experience. I share not only the strategies that have helped me build my business, but also the challenges, setbacks, and lessons that shaped my perspective along the way.
At my core, I see myself as more than a speaker. I am a mentor and an industry builder. With over 16 years in the beauty industry and more than a decade as a business owner, I bring a depth of real-world experience into every room I enter. I have built my brand from the ground up — from behind the treatment table to product development, education, and international teaching — and I understand what it takes to turn skill into a sustainable career.
Whether I am teaching in a classroom, leading a workshop, or speaking on stage, my presence is intentional. I aim to bring warmth, clarity, and a results-driven mindset into every environment. I teach more than technique — I teach ownership, discipline, and confidence. My goal is always the same: to help beauty professionals elevate their craft, increase their earning potential, and step fully into their value with purpose and professionalism.
Ultimately, I don’t see myself simply as someone who teaches beauty. I see myself as someone who helps redefine what is possible within the beauty industry — by combining education, entrepreneurship, and global perspective into a standard that empowers others to build careers they are truly proud of.

Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.
Yes — I manufacture my own products, and it’s truly been a full-circle journey.
I’ve struggled with acne-prone skin since I was a teenager. It runs in my family, and for years I searched for a “perfect skin” solution. What I eventually learned — both personally and professionally — is that perfect skin doesn’t exist. Breakouts can be triggered by stress, diet, hormones, climate, dehydration, or simply using the wrong products for your skin type. Understanding your skin’s triggers is everything.
In middle school, I tried countless well-known brands. I was even prescribed Accutane, yet nothing created lasting balance for my skin. I began noticing patterns — weather changes affected me, certain ingredients calmed my skin, others irritated it. That curiosity turned into experimentation. I started keeping a notebook, documenting ingredients and how they reacted on my skin.
In 2010, I went to school to become a licensed esthetician, which gave me the scientific foundation to support what I had already been testing. I learned how ingredients like aloe vera calm and hydrate the skin, and how tea tree oil acts as a natural antiseptic that supports acne-prone skin. From there, my passion for formulation deepened. In the beginning, I didn’t have all the answers. I ordered samples, customized formulas, and tested products on over 50 people — including friends, family, and clients. We documented before-and-afters and tracked skin progress carefully. That real-world testing phase was invaluable.
Finding the right manufacturing partner was one of the biggest lessons. Vendors can be tricky — you must do your research, establish clear contracts, and protect your intellectual property. I required NDAs to ensure my formulas remained exclusive. While creating products at home is a great starting point, it’s not sustainable long-term. Scaling requires partnering with a reputable lab that meets compliance standards and can ensure consistency, safety, and growth capacity.
It didn’t happen overnight. It took research, resilience, and consistency.
Today, my line includes:
The Refining Wash
The Day Facial Moisturizer
Two shades of Eyebrow Tint (Coffee + Black)
And the Brow & Lash Renew Growth Serum
What I love most is that my products are designed to be universal and effective across multiple skin types. They were created from lived experience, professional education, and real client results. If there’s one thing I’ve learned about manufacturing, it’s this: before you build a product line, you must deeply believe in what you’re creating. Your confidence fuels everything — from formulation to marketing.
For beauty professionals or anyone looking to create an additional stream of income, I created a step-by-step digital guide available on my website. It walks through sourcing raw ingredients, packaging, labeling, shipping, vendor communication, and brand development. It’s truly a blueprint for turning your idea into a tangible product line. This journey started with my own skin — and evolved into helping others build confidence through theirs.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe one of the biggest factors in building my reputation has been leading with integrity. Honesty is one of my core values, and my clients know they can trust me. Whether we’re discussing their skin, brows, beauty goals, or sometimes even life challenges, I always give genuine advice and recommendations that are in their best interest rather than simply trying to sell a service. When I moved to Atlanta from Pennsylvania in 2013, I started working at North Dekalb Mall and relied entirely on walk-in clients. At that point, I had to build my clientele from the ground up. I knew that if I wanted to be successful, I had to be consistent, reliable, and professional.
One thing I’ve always taken pride in is showing up for my clients. I never cancel appointments, and I respect their time. In the beauty industry, client experience is everything. Unfortunately, many people have experienced last-minute cancellations or inconsistent service, and I made it a priority to provide the opposite experience. I treat my clients the way I would want to be treated as a customer.
Referrals have also played a huge role in growing my business. When clients trust you and have a great experience, they’re naturally excited to tell their friends and family. To encourage that, I’ve implemented referral and loyalty programs over the years, which helped strengthen client relationships and reward their continued support.
Marketing and advertising have certainly contributed to my growth, but I truly believe my reputation has been built through consistency, professionalism, and genuine care for my clients. I’m especially grateful for the clients who have been with me since 2014. Their loyalty is a reflection of the trust we’ve built over the years, and I never take that for granted. At the end of the day, people remember how you make them feel. By being dependable, honest, and committed to providing an exceptional experience.
I also DJ and promote my product line and services at every event I attend. I love creating memorable experiences, and I often incorporate product giveaways during my shows. One of the things that makes me unique is that I’ve been able to combine my passions for beauty, education, entrepreneurship, and music into one brand. Recently, I had the opportunity to DJ in Mexico City, where I promoted my beauty products and connected with new audiences internationally. Experiences like that have helped expand my reach beyond Atlanta and introduce my brand to people from different backgrounds and cultures. As I continue to grow my business, I’m also learning Spanish so I can better connect with Spanish-speaking clients and beauty professionals. My goal is to teach and inspire beauty professionals around the world while continuing to expand the reach of my product line internationally. Whether someone is looking for beauty services, professional education, quality beauty products, or a DJ for their next event, I strive to bring the same level of passion, professionalism, and authenticity to everything I do.
