Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nicole Middendorf. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Nicole thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
August 4 of 2010 was the first time that the 911 phone call went through. My daughter was six months old. My son was 2. My ex-husband was arrested for domestic violence.
From the outside of my life looked perfect Big house was hosting a radio show written my first book multiple cars, four wheelers boat, jet, skis, etc.. but not a single thing that I picked out even my career as a Wealth Advisor. So I rewrote my bucket list. I committed to do one thing a month for a year. Well when you tell people or you are doing something in your bucket list, I think you’re dying so I started calling it the Live it List. Now it’s a movement. We travel. Inspire. Speak. Coach.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
We took 20 people to Napa and one of the women that went with said She went to Napa with 19 strangers and came home with 19 friends.
I speak to organizations and companies and give them my live list. Journal and help them figure out their why. Help them do a happiness wheel. Set some goals. Vision make a live it list and manifest the life of their dreams.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
January 6 of 2003 is when I left Morgan Stanley. I got a Best Buy credit card at 0% interest and purchased a $600 LCD projector. I taught classes at the library and at community education programs and built my company. I’m still proud of the fact that Prosperwell financial has never had any debt.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
I started a live list for me. I never planned on for it to be Movement. I know I’ve hired my first employee and I’m coming out with my next book.
I took a group to Egypt last year this year. We’re headed to Iceland after an E bike tour next month. Next year we’re doing turkey and the following year. We’re doing a Porsche driving experience throughout Germany, Austrian Switzerland, and then finishing the year in Japan.
It’s all about helping people live life to the fullest
