We recently connected with Nicole Linde and have shared our conversation below.

Nicole, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Setting up an independent practice is a daunting endeavor. Can you talk to us about what it was like for you – what were some of the main steps, challenges, etc.

At the beginning of my journey, I had a lot of fear around my abilities as a healer. First, I didn’t know exactly the extent of what they were. I needed to figure out if I really was a medium beyond my own personal connections. I was not even thinking at that point if I was going to read for the public, let a lone start my own business. I share this with my students, because it’s important to be compassionate with yourself in each step of you journey. You don’t need to know the big picture to begin.
Listen to what keeps nudging you. If you are curious about exploring your psychic, and mediumship abilities then that’s all you need to know for step one. Step two is where and who to practice and learn form. Once you begin to engage and learn foundations and practice with others in a mentored circle, you grow your ability and your confidence. Even if you feel you have had many connections since you were young, learning how to read for others in a kind and compassionate way is it’s own skill. Many of us take years to develop before we consider going public with a business. So my advice would be to go slow, take small risks, and enjoy the magical journey before putting pressure on yourself to start a business.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

In my life leading up to professional development, I at times felt like I was channeling in my artwork to some higher self or spirit world. Not specific to people in spirit, more like over all channel with Spirit. Spirit is very creative, even when they are showing me evidential information in a personal reading. Our souls love symbols, just look at music and poetry, art, design. Symbols are a way to get through information quickly and efficiently. Spirit may give me a symbol that I don’t understand, and I have to discover what it means to me. There’s collective and personal symbols. That’s just one way we may receive information as a psychic medium. Development is a life long journey that is like a lotus flower, continually unfolding and moving. It’s not a static language.
To answer the question what I’m most proud/ want people to know… I am always in flux with my translations and craft as a medium. Most of our work is about the translation with invisible realms. If communication with Spirit was the same as physical world then there wouldn’t be much work involved. I’m proud that I continue to work on my abilities, through challenges over the years and that I’m able to offer my services on a regular basis to help others. Spirit is the highest vibration and it’s healing intelligence is what helps others and myself to grow.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?

Intention, compassion and tenacity. There will be people who misunderstand what you do at times, there will be people who don’t think you are good enough, or people who don’t support you, and people who feel you are competition to them. I try to look those people like they are here for a reason. To help chisel you into the diamond that you are. Everyone is on their own path, and some try to get energy by trying to dim yours because they are disconnected to their own spirit. Let me tell you that if you are meant to do this work, it will keep nudging at you. You will have amazing breakthroughs and highs of connectedness with others. You will help many people heal parts of their grief, and help them know that theirs in spirit is with them. You will help them in many other ways to understand that Spirit is love, on a higher frequency of healing. They only want to try to mend and help us here in physical.
You also will help people in their physical life, by helping them to trust themselves. Help make a better decisions ones more in alignment with higher self and not in fear. This could be in their career, relationships, soul path, etc. You will also help yourself by engaging in a path that is meaningful and valuable to you. One that allows you to also learn about yourself. You will begin to feel the inner peace and value of helping to make a difference in the world.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

There are times when people forget some important details in a mediumship reading or even a psychic reading. It can be overwhelming at times during a session and mediumship isn’t usually linear. People may not know some information at the time of the reading, like a family member in spirit played the piano. After the reading they have to check with others. People also may say no to information coming through because in their mind they are expecting exact or only certain info from the psychic medium. All of this happens at times, and when you are new to working with the public you can allow a clients energy to over power your connection and shut you down. I’ve have this happen in the past, only to have many of those people contact me later to verify that the information was correct.
So these difficult lessons taught me to have compassion for myself, and also the client. It’s important to stay in your power during a reading, and not let the client try to dictate only what information they think should come through. Spirit knows more than we do, and as a medium I’m a translator. I always tell clients to check on something if it doesn’t make sense. Some things have yet to play out, so if it’s future info be open to it, and just know you have free will and can change your mind. We are reading energy in snapshot in time. If you change the timeline then the snapshot changes. Intention is everything and when you set your intention for highest good you are allowing higher self, and healing information to come through. Trust it. Trust yourself.
