We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nicole Kucab. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nicole below.
Nicole, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
The journey to naming my brand ‘Perfectly Appropriate’ is deeply intertwined with my personal and professional evolution. This name has not just been a label, but a guiding philosophy across two distinct ventures I’ve had the privilege of nurturing. Initially, ‘Perfectly Appropriate’ was born out of a personal styling service aimed at helping clients discover the wardrobe that was not just visually appealing, but deeply resonant with their lifestyle and personal ethos. The core idea was to sift through the trends to find what truly suited them—what was ‘perfectly appropriate.’
As my career trajectory shifted towards social media management, this guiding principle seamlessly translated into my current business. Here, ‘Perfectly Appropriate’ embodies the essence of crafting and narrating a brand’s story online in a manner that is authentically aligned with its identity and aspirations. It’s about discerning amidst the vast, often overwhelming, digital trends to pinpoint the most fitting way for a brand to express itself, ensuring the narrative is not just heard but felt.
This name and its underlying philosophy hold a mirror to my personal journey as well. Throughout various industries and while juggling the roles of a professional and a parent, ‘Perfectly Appropriate’ has been my north star. It represents the continuous pursuit of balance—finding the ‘perfectly appropriate’ path to weave together the different threads of my life. It underscores the belief that while there may be a multitude of ways to do something, there’s always a choice that feels just right, reflecting a harmonious blend of one’s personal values, professional ambitions, and the unique circumstances of the moment.
In essence, ‘Perfectly Appropriate’ is more than a brand name to me. It’s a reminder, a commitment, and a strategy all rolled into one. It symbolizes the pursuit of authenticity and alignment in every endeavor, whether it’s selecting an outfit, crafting a tweet, or navigating the complex tapestry of life and work.

Nicole, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Embarking on the journey into my current industry wasn’t a straightforward path; it was more of an evolution—a metamorphosis from a structured, analytical world into one brimming with creativity and boundless potential. My professional voyage commenced within the realms of a large accounting firm, where my role was steeped in analytics and strategy. This foundation was instrumental, honing my ability to dissect complex scenarios and craft meticulous strategies. However, it was a narrative half-told, yearning for a creative counterpart.
The decision to pivot from this traditional trajectory was full of uncertainty but was a leap towards authenticity and fulfillment. It propelled me into the vibrant domains of personal styling, influencing, blogging, and ultimately, social media management. This transition wasn’t merely a change in profession but a quest to harmonize my analytical prowess with my creative impulses.
Today, as the architect behind ‘Perfectly Appropriate,’ I offer a suite of services that encapsulate full-service social media management. From strategizing to storytelling, each service is meticulously designed to not only amplify a brand’s digital footprint but to ensure that its narrative resonates deeply with its audience. My craft lies in weaving together analytical insights with creative narratives, ensuring that every social media effort is perfectly tailored to the brand’s identity and aspirations.
What truly sets me apart is my commitment to authenticity and alignment. I cherish working with clients who are a ‘perfectly appropriate’ fit—those whose mission and vision echo my values. This synergy allows me to immerse myself fully, becoming an invested partner in their journey towards digital excellence.
A pinnacle of pride in my career was assisting a non-profit client in surpassing one of their most ambitious recruitment goals through a targeted social media campaign. This achievement wasn’t just a testament to strategic and creative execution but a reflection of the profound impact that can be achieved when values and visions align.
To potential clients, followers, and fans, I want you to know that ‘Perfectly Appropriate’ is more than a service—it’s a partnership. It’s about embarking on a journey together, one where your mission becomes mine, and your success, our shared endeavor. My background might be diverse, spanning from analytics to aesthetics, but the core of my work remains constant: to create, connect, and captivate, in the most ‘perfectly appropriate’ way possible.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Networking within my niche and among small business owners has been pivotal, transcending mere client acquisition to foster a vibrant community of collaboration and mutual growth. It’s created an opportunity to exchanging ideas and navigate challenges with those who deeply understand the unique dynamics social media and the demands it places on small business owners. This approach not only cultivates meaningful client relationships but also enriches my service offerings through valuable collaborations, making it the most effective source of new clients and partnerships.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Crafting content and narratives that resonate with a brand’s target audience and propel their business objectives is deeply fulfilling. It echoes the sense of radiance and confidence I’ve observed as a stylist, when someone wears an outfit that perfectly embodies their personality. Just as the right ensemble can transform an individual’s presence, the right social media narrative can vivify a brand’s identity, forging a connection that’s not only seen but felt. This intersection of art and strategy, where creativity meets analytics, is where I find the most satisfaction—knowing that my work isn’t just about creating content, but about shaping experiences that have a meaningful impact.
