Alright, Nicole thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
I had a customer present me with an opportunity to sell my products to more mainstream consumers. It changed the trajectory of my business and gave me a kickoff start to my year. She enjoyed my products so much she was determined to make sure everyone she knew became a customer and then some. It was totally unexpected but also confirmed to me what I created was touching consumers in the way I dreamed it would.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I still consider myself a novice in this industry but got into it due to my love of holistic wellness and wanting to create safer products for my family. The idea had been there but I didn’t pursue it until 2021. I hand make diaper and body butter and have also start venturing into soap making. My products are handmade, and I put my heart into each product made for my customers. What sets me apart is I’m someone who uses love with everything I make and touch. It’s more than just making money or side hustle for me. It’s the satisfaction I get from creating.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing clientele has definitely been word of mouth. My customers have bragged about my products to people they know, next thing I know I get a call and then an order to try everything.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of clients is venturing into the vendor markets. It gives me a chance to meet other business owners and expand my consumer base.
