We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nicole DiTommaso a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Nicole, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Our vision is to create a lifestyle brand that empowers people to think boldly and take action boldly towards their goals. We’re more than a condiment, we’re living proof that confidence will lead you to extraordinary places.
To us, each flavor represents a chance we took on ourselves.
So, whatever it is you’ve been dreaming of, we’re betting on you to take the first step.
Together we can ignite a culture of self believers.
This isn’t about hot sauce, this is about having enough self belief to pursue your dreams.
Join our gang, where confidence is the most powerful ingredient and together we can pour more into the world.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I originally started my my entrepreneurial journey in the cosmetics industry. After years of growth, experiencing multiple roles in building a business, I decided my true passion was in product development and marketing.
In 2019 I created Sauce Boss Gang hot sauce. My product philosophy was to create a brand of flavors that enhance dishes, drinks and desserts. Our priority is flavor fist with heat as a secondary note. Sauce Boss Gang branding and marketing is always a main focus . We wanted to create a fun brand with independent voicing and visuals that would entice customers to try our product in a very competitive market. We put an emphasis on creative culinary and mixology talents, we want our flavors to be used in wild creations you wouldn’t normally expect. Our motto is “Bold Minds & Potent Peppers.”
I found myself constantly approached with the question of “who do you use for marketing?’ Naturally, Bold Minds Marketing was born. I thought what an honor it would be to help other entrepreneurs with marketing/branding needs while sharing my real time business experiences. It was a bonus that Sauce Boss Gang product is an easy topic when discussing additional ideas and revenue streams for a lot of my marketing clients. I feel grateful that both my passions are falling into place.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
I am asked this question a lot. I believe in calling people and in person meetings. It’s basically extinct, so when you can connect with someone in a way that a lot of people don’t take the time to do, I think the right people find that very valuable. I of course am a big fan of representing your brand on social media correctly as well. Social media platforms now represent how a potential customer “vets” our product/service. It’s basically an extension of your website.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I believe in on site marketing (pop-up shops, events, workshops). I believe this gives your customer an additional way to experience your brand. It gives the customer some real life experience of how the brand interacts in the real world. I alsobelieve email marketing is huge. This is a tool that can drive sales and brand education, which both are extremely beneficial for different reasons.
