We were lucky to catch up with Nicole Bryan recently and have shared our conversation below.
Nicole , appreciate you joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
To be successful is earning the trust of your customers. When your customers have full trust in you and the product you’re selling the opportunities are endless.
Nicole , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Gypsy’s Boutique was a dream of mine for many years. When Covid broke the world those dreams were put on the back burner. As things settled down, I circled back around to my dreams and put them into motion. I put my trust in God for guidance and reassurance that I was making the right decisions. I thought, long and hard on how I can make my boutique different from others. That is when I decided to become an online mobile boutique. Through many trials and tribulations Gypsy’s Boutique was born. I stated online sales for several months while the renovations to the mobile unit were taking place. I purchased a utility trailer and renovated it into a mobile boutique store. Once the mobile unit was completed, I took the show on the road. You can find Gypsy’s Boutique online and local events and hopefully soon statewide events.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I started online through a private Facebook group page. Where I added everyone on my social media, I’m thankful through the support of many friends and family, they continue to share my page which grew rapidly over the next few months. I am forever grateful for all the support from the locals in my area and I’m also forever grateful for meeting people at mobile events that has also grown in my social media.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
Once my dreams were becoming a reality, I knew I did not want to go into debt starting this business. I was fortunate enough to keep my full-time job for the first six months after launching my online business. I was able to save money to initially start my business where 100% went back into it. I continued to take money out of my pocket while working and saved every dime, and penny, I possibly could to grow into what I am today.
