We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nicole Bruno. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nicole below.
Alright, Nicole thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think Corporate America gets wrong in your industry? Any stories or anecdotes that illustrate why this matters?
Corporate America just isn’t for some people and that some people is me. I call them day walkers as i don’t understand how they do what they do .
Every time I tell a corporate worker what I do, its generally followed by what else. Most people don’t realize every month i start with almost no guaranteed jobs.
I find my clients and hobs as i go. Nothing is guaranteed. Pay come generally after 90 days. Theres even some net 120.
Theres no reality to then that the marketing the advertising, the bilking, the accountant , the emails and phone calls are all done solely by me.
All day .

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Nicole Bruno and I am the owner and operator of All Dolled Up. I have been in business for about ten years now, working on productions multiple ways.
I am a licensed hair and makeup artist, and provide services for weddings, tv productions, magazines and print, and special FX for films. Any kind of makeup techniques I have covered, leaving every clients vision complete.
After years of hair and makeup I acquired other licenses for service. I offer craft services for the terms. Providing them with food and drinks for any meal or diet needed. Craft comes with the supply and ordering of food, table decorations, and excellent service preparing and cleaning up after the set is over.
Learning how to style and using my eye to match colors has also helped me become a stylist on set. Helping steam, pick out the clothing , and set props up with the crew has also bern soemthing i have been able to learn and achieve and now offer.
Having my own kids on set has provided me with the patience of children, and how to keep kids happy on set . Set wranglers are extremely important on set with younger kids 18 months to 10 years old. I come to set providing games , attention grabbing jokes, and tricks to to get them smile at the camera as well
After Covid-19’s quarentine makeup slowed down but kids production continued to flourish. My kids got very busy in the industry and hundreds of moms reached out to me asking for help. Now i provide service for adults and kid talent looking to be placed in agency’s.
I currently work as a manager for agencies in florida , Georgia, California, and New York. I help guide industry people from fresh faces to famous, explaining to talent how to self tapes, what to wear, and help with any other questions they may have in their journey.
Productions and management guiding everyone to get all dolled up and be the best dollface they can be is something i thrive to always be better at. The sky is the limit.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Marketing and advertising is great, but there is nothing like word of mouth. Providing excellent service and making first impressions are lasting ones.
Media is something you can never gove up on. You must adapt to the times. You must spend money to make money. You also have to take the haters with a grain of salt.
If you don’t have haters you are doing it wrong

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
Hustling is the best way to motivate yourself and others around you. I never stop working. I never stop finding ways to advertise. I work around the clock. I work from the minute i wake , until i fall asleep with my phone in my hands.
Theres never just one way to make money. There are always ways to ad to your business. Your business shouldnt ever atop growing and producing new ways and new skills.
Learning is forever. Im not the same person i was when i started this, so my business shouldn’t be either. You may get 400 responses saying no but it only takes one yes.
