We were lucky to catch up with Nicole Brown recently and have shared our conversation below.
Nicole, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you tell us about a time where you or your team really helped a customer get an amazing result?
My client was working as a therapist in corporate America and running a small business. We focused on an exit strategy to leave her job and start her own practice. In less then 6 months she left her corporate job and now runs a six figure practice and has other therapists working under her company.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I work with men and women who want to be the first entrepreneurial success in their family even if they have been paralyzed by fear. I have been in the childcare industry as an entrepreneur for over 30 years. I run a 7 figure childcare business. I provide employment for over 30 employees.
I also run a six figure retail business in our local mall.
I started my coaching program to help those who are fearful to take a leap of faith as an entrepreneur.
I have made many mistakes and have lost a lot of money. I want to help other avoid the same mistakes.
Has your business ever had a near-death moment? Would you mind sharing the story?
When I started my childcare business I didn’t know much about payroll. I submitted the payroll not realizing I was supposed to pay the taxes each quarter. The paper in the folder said keep for your records. The paper behind it said file with the IRS.
In 2010 a IRS officer showed up at my office. She asked if I had received any of there letters. I reached in my desk and pulled out a stack of unopened letters. Within a month the IRS put a lien on my bank accounts. I later hired a company to represent me and saved my business.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
After losing money and my accounts being locked. I stood firm to fight hard for my business. I hired a cpa and a representative to keep my business open. It’s been 13 years and I am still standing tall!!!
