Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nicole Bloom. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Nicole , thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
To be remembered as an inspirational human would be a true honor. If I were to be remembered for anything, it would be humbling to be remembered for inspiring healing change and for aligning our ways of life with an open heart. The heart is where we begin and where we end. It is where life pulse’s through us. And with every word I speak, write, or think, it is from the heart- searching for all the hearts that beat for wisdom, beauty, truth, and love.
Nicole , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Nicole Bloom. I am an author, philosopher, and mentor. My life is dedicated to instilling courage and passion back into the heart and minds of those who seek purpose, peace, and prosperity. I am best known for my compassion, perspectives, and grace. I carry wisdom forward through creative writing and human to human conversation (considered to be mentoring or coaching). The number one thing I do for others is give them the space and freedom to be who they are. My new book ‘Humans Bloom’ is an emotionally enlightening experience for those who seek to understand themselves and others more deeply.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn in life is the lesson of love. I got the impression growing up that love was transactional. That love was a reward. The beginning years of adulthood were spent learning that love is a connection, it is not a gift nor a reward, it is an experience that is only self taught.
The way we love, and the way we allow ourselves to be loved influenced our destiny. Of all the reasons, and all the efforts to find what we are here to live for, I have relearned that love is a way of life. And love is all that we are here to do.
But it takes great courage to follow the passions that lead to love. We mustn’t let the ego keep us from pain. Sometimes the only way to find a life you love is to find your way through the pain of being lost, or the pain of loss. Sometimes the only way to know love is to know what is not love. Sometimes the only way to know where to begin, is to know where you want to end.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
A story of resilience in my life is a story that has replayed itself many times in many different ways. The story of doubt. I use to believe doubt was a sign of failure. But through pushing forward because of the doubt, not in spite of it, I realized that doubt is not a sign of failure but a sign of will. Doubt is a sign that says ‘turn around or give it all you got to get to the other side.’
Confidence was the path I most found myself at crossroads with doubt. Believing in myself was so easy on good days and quickly gone on hard days. I use to believe that confidence was a clear and steady path. If confidence got so hard maybe I didn’t have it- I use to ponder. But it’s a bumpy path that makes you stronger, wiser, and happier.
Once I learned to follow my self confidence all the way through the easy times and the hard times, I found resilience on the other side. Looking back at the process and the struggle, I can see from different perspectives that my biggest obstacle was my choices. My choice to pursue further. My choice to learn more about my path. My choice to believe the destination was real before arriving. For we only go places we know exist. And if we hesitate to go places that don’t yet exist, we never pave the way that creates them.
