We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nicolas Marin. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nicolas below.
Alright, Nicolas thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
From the first moment I had the slightest interest of being an actor I knew that the risk was high and it would be hard, however I found the support of my love ones to do this and have the confidence to affront any difficulties or challenges that comes in my way, one of the biggest risk was coming here on my own without knowing anyone, facing a new culture, new language, new people, and finally being involve in my craft since in the pandemic I couldn’t really do anything about it, know it was time to take my acting/craft to a new level

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Well I’ve always been a big fan of movies since I was a little kid, i have countless memories of me and my dad going to a movie theater but it was until I was 16 I saw the possibility of doing this, I got into a project my dad was doing at the time called “con todos los poderes” which was about geek sketches, after doing this I decided I wanted to be an actor and move to Hollywood to pursue my dreams and career. This past year I’ve felt that I grow so much as artist, I did two plays (Luna Gale and Stopkiss) I did multiple short films, I put together my website, reel and headshots, and I got a commercial Agent. Nevertheless I always think I could so so much more and stay as busy as I can.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
To be vulnerable, I’ve always be taught to not feel certain way or to remain strong but as an artist I think you need to have that vulnerability for your craft and then control it

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Not only entertain people but that audiences and can relate to your character or the story itself
