We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nicky Nicole. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nicky below.
Nicky, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
Hello my name is Nicky Nicole, owner of Cannamist Massage, LLC. I actually started Cannamist Massage when I got bronchitis from getting a flu shot. Crazy right? So I ended up having whooping cough. I tired everything, even prescribed medication and nothing worked. So out of frustration I sparked a pre roll and noticed my coughing started to decrease. From there on I was fascinated with cannabis and what it truly can do. This was in 2018-2019. I’ve used cannabis before but I started to realized the components and benefits that it truly serves. I started watching documentaries, movies, and shows about cannabis; learning the history of it and it’s influence on today’s society.
Cannamist Massage was then created in 2019 and est March of 2020. I basically created my own “Cool World” for massage and wellness infused with cannabis. The Gardern of Weed’en is theme where i personally creat a customized garden to massage you in. I believe everyone deserves their own garden of peace.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’ve been a licensed massage therapist for over 14 years now and when pairing my experience as a massage therapist with my love and fascination for cannabis—Cannamist Massage was born, in my hometown of Washington, DC. Now, let’s not play like what I’m about to tell you is something you’ve heard or seen before!!
My goal is to provide holistic wellness treatments through massage therapy while using various cannabinoids methods (Delta 8/9, CBD, & THC). The past two years has raised awareness on depression, anxiety, and even self-care. I also educate my clients on the importance of self-care as well as the proper ways to use cannabis/cbd during their customized wellness session. A Cannamist customized session can range from massage to passive stretching, vibration therapy, foot detox, steam face mask, and so much more!
I thrive on comfortability which is why I am a mobile only business. I show my support of the cannabis community by using various products from the medical & gifting dispensaries so that my client’s know their products are legal, legit, and safe.
I love what I do and I take pride in knowing people can use massage and cannabis as a form of healing and relaxation. I’m thankful for this gift that was bestowed to me. Its not easy healing with your hands, but it’s a rewarding feeling when you can help relieve someone’s pain.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
For me the best source of new clients is “word of mouth”. I am a small business and a mobile one at that. My safety is important to me and I don’t believe in going into everyone’s home when I do home sessions. I mainly focus on bigger events like festivals, dispensaries events, markets, etc so that Cannamist Massage can grab the attention of more spectators. Don’t limit yourself to the small things, include your business in big opportunities as well. As I always say, once you enter into The Garden of Weed’en, you’ll experience “A Whole New Era of Relaxation”–Nicky Nicole

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What built my reputation within my market is a little tricky because I represent two different types of markets (massage/wellness and cannabis). I’ve been a licensed massage therapist since 2010(14yrs), so I had already established myself within the market world of massage. I worked at massage envy for 10yrs, worked at a chiropractor office for 2yrs as their MT, worked for Soothe as a independent contractor, and finally became my own business owner to my massage business in 2020.
In the cannabis market, it’s a little different. Most cannabis networks are growers, dispensary owners, and cannabis enthusiasts. When Cannamist Massage introduces itself to the masses, it’s welcome with open arms and acceptance in the cannabis community. Everyone sees the bigger picture once explained how wellness is incorporated into the use of thc/cbd. I attend seminars, cannabis pop ups, support cannabis vendors, and collaborate with various people to maintain a rep in the cannabis community.
