Nicki, appreciate you joining us today. Do you have a hero? What have you learned from them?
My father, who was my partner in founding Toothbrush Toys, is my greatest hero. He imparted invaluable lessons about life, business, and the importance of being a good person.
In 2021, we embarked on our journey with Toothbrush Toys hand in hand. Unfortunately, he had to step back due to the lingering health effects of cancer. He peacefully passed away in August 2023, finding relief from the unbearable pain he was living with.
The wisdom my father shared with me is beyond measure. He has consistently served as my role model and a boundless source of inspiration. I owe so much of who I am to his guidance, love, and support. Toothbrush Toys is my tribute to his legacy, and I’m unwaveringly committed to working diligently to fulfill our shared aspirations.
The charitable aspect of Toothbrush Toys deeply resonates with my father’s beliefs. He instilled in me the notion that true success lies in using it to bring positive change to the lives of others.

Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
We currently sell Toothbrush Toys through multiple channels, including our own website and various online marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart, Ebay, and Cratejoy.
While our preference is for customers to purchase directly from our website, we recognize the advantages of these other platforms. Amazon, for instance, is a favored choice among customers due to its benefits like free Prime shipping, hassle-free returns, and the trust it instills in buyers. As an avid consumer and online shopper myself, I appreciate the convenience and reliability of selling on Amazon.
Similarly, Walmart, Ebay, and Cratejoy each bring their unique strengths to the table, boasting their dedicated customer bases. In particular, I find Cratejoy’s subscription box model beneficial, as it offers a creative way to showcase our Toothbrush Toys Subscription Box to a broader audience.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
When we first launched Toothbrush Toys, our expectations were sky-high, anticipating overnight success. However, the reality was different. We quickly realized that rapid growth wasn’t that easy, prompting us to pivot our strategy. We became more resourceful, tightening our budget and seeking ways to supplement our growth timeline. This shift in approach not only helped us navigate the challenges but also laid the foundation for maintaining long-term success. It taught us the invaluable lesson that patience and adaptability are often the keys to achieving goals and sustaining a business.
