We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nick White. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nick below.
Nick, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?
It’s not the destination that’s most important, it’s the journey. Everything you do leading up to your end goal determines whether you make it or not. To succeed you need to reinvent yourself, meaning you need changing to the bad habits, mindset, obsession, discipline and sacrifice.
Create routines and stick to them. Being interested in something isn’t enough, you have to have a focus and obsession on what it is you want, when you do you will find a way over any obstacle. If your end goal is most important to you, sacrificing things that take time and your mind away from succeeding has to become part of the journey. All of this falls under having a strong mindset. Mindset is key, there are going to be adversities along the way and you have to have strength to push through it all. With all of this, the most important thing is failure. You have to trust that trial and error is a must and will happen, without it, succeeding isn’t possible, you have to fail your way to success.
I follow this word which is my everyday motivator, A.S.A.P., meaning “Always Striving And Prospering.” If you are always striving and pushing towards prosperity and greatness, you are on your way to the top.
Nick, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Capturing moments and scenery have always been a secret passion of mine. It was all discovered when I was enrolled in a photojournalism class my sophomore year of high school and still to this day, I am so thankful for that class because it really did open up my eyes to this whole new world of art. Since that year I’ve put lots of time and learning into my craft, and to truly show you that I really have a strong passion for photography, I’ve taken quite some risks to get to where I am today. Like I mentioned in my first shared story, I demoted myself from a full time manager position to part time just to allow me to put more time into my business. I stand proud of that because I believe it was the greatest decision I could’ve made for myself.
Ever since then I’ve been learning, experimenting and exploring new places and new ways of photography. Thankfully I have encountered many accomplishments along the way. I have made my business legit, grown my skill sets, created a gallery website to share my work, upgraded my equipment, traveled, gained clientele and made great profit from my business. Looking back at it all, my journey and progress is what I’m most proud of. There have been plenty of ups and downs but they all play a role in how I got to where I am today.
For those reading I want you and everyone to know about my craft and what I offer. Throughout my time of becoming a photographer, I have learned that it’s great to become versatile, so I did. I do all types of photography and I am willing to try anything new. I believe trying new things is exciting. I do all sorts like portraits, street, fashion, landscape, automotive, real estate, commercial and my biggest offer is aerial! This is something that sets me apart from others and helps me stand out. Not only do I just take photos, but I make videos as well! Videography is another thing I offer and something that I want to get amazing at, Like I said, I offer plenty of services and I’m always willing to try new things to grow my skill sets and offer them to the world!
With my business comes confidence and being optimistic. My intentions with my photography are endless. I never want to stop learning on how to become the greatest creator I can be. Not only do I want success for myself, I want everyone to succeed along with me. The ultimate goal for Nick White Captures is to shock the world, and I will do so. What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Having no boundaries. When being an artist/creative, you are in a world that’s free of rules. You are allowed to create whatever your mind wants to see. More specifically for me, being a photographer, I have the ability to capture anything. The greatest thing about that is I can live with that image forever and it’s for the world to see.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
