We recently connected with Nick Nidositko and have shared our conversation below.
Nick, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you wish you had started sooner?
In some ways yes, and in some ways no. I think if I would have started it earlier I would be farther along now. However that would mean it wouldn’t have started here in Colorado but rather my home state of Texas. I have a lot of love for Texas, but I cannot express enough how welcoming the music scene around Denver has been. So I am glad I waited to pursue this passion professionally here.

Nick, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a Music Producer based out of Lakewood, CO. Since 2010, I developed a love for Audio Engineering while recording and mixing my own bands throughout the years. With a combination of practical experience, and a deep love for what I do, I started my own project studio in 2020 as a means to help artists and other creatives write or finish their music in a professional, and unique way.
My journey into this industry professionally, began when I lost my 9-5 in 2020 due to the pandemic. This experience ignited a spark within me, prompting me to explore further and dive deeper into making music for other people. I sought out additional training, and collaborated with local artists to see if I could bring value to the table outside of my own projects. I learned very quickly that I have the ability to take a song to the next level and the ear to make it sound great.
As for the products and services I offer, I take great pride in being a one stop shop for an artist, especially ones just starting out. Besides recording/mixing/mastering music, I have also designed logos, merch, artwork and even shot and directed music videos. I also frequently provide information and advice about distribution and release strategies. I strive to meet the unique needs and challenges of each individual artist.

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
How to lean into your industry’s community. I have since learned the benefits of asking for help from other professionals in your field. Don’t be afraid of your competition, befriend them. See where you have weak spots they can help out with and visa versa.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect for me 100% is that release day for the music an artist and I have poured our soul into. I am always honored to be chosen for a project because no matter how big or small they are, I know this song or album is very important and personal art to the songwriters. Getting to watch an artist on social media when it’s all done get recognition and praise always makes me very proud of them.
