We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nick Massey a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Nick, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

I remember growing up watching looney tunes and getting lost in the playful style and mixing that with also being a daydreamer and in my own world i’ve always strived to put myself into these cartoon world but in my own lense

Nick, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

hey i’m nick im an illustrator and graphic artist or a mixed media artist for short i enjoy exploring a variety of mediums and using them as guides to express the various depth of emotions in life. You can usually find me trying to get into any gallery local or abroad to share my work but also creating prints and stickers for those not able to be at my shows or wanna support me and my artistic journey. I dont try to stand out or set myself apart from others i just try to find the best way to make the viewers feel the emotions i felt through my art. I wish to live off the value of my art and create at my own leisure one day in the comfort of my environment i don’t need to be rich just be sustainably comfortable. I use my brand KasoCreates to express this but in a comfortable and paced way of marketing myself i believe in the journey of making art not the goal of blowing up and retiring early although i wouldn’t fight the idea id prefer to enjoy the journey.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

I recently learned in my illustration journey that the best kind of drive you achieve thru creating is the drive to keep going after you’ve failed many times this drive has made the best creations I’ve ever had.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

my biggest resource has always been reddit its weird but reddit really has all the answers ive needed for the very tedious things i was trying to achieve in my creations now its my new google
