We were lucky to catch up with Nichole Hemming recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Nichole , thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

Nichole Hemming (Partner/ Co-Founder) was diagnosed with cancer at age 26. After treatments and surgeries she was on so many meds. One med led to a side effect, she’d be prescribed another for that side effect, which caused another side effect and so on. She suffered functioning, both from being a worker and mother, to the typical day-to-day tasks. She felt she needed to do something and take control of her health.
At that time, CBD was being legalized. She decided to take a chance and start learning about it. She learned about tons of benefits this amazing plant had. She also learned that this plant was completely natural and would help with numerous side effects she was experiencing.
She had to always tinkered around with making natural body products for herself. She loved finding ways to rehydrate her skin after spending her life living in Colorado and experiencing the dryness it caused her.
She decided to infuse CBD oil into her topicals, against advice from doctors and close friends and family. After a few weeks, she had noticed a huge difference! She slowly started taking less of her meds and to this day, it took her from over 15 different kinds of medication she was on, down to two.
She wanted to spread this new found love to others, both with education on the plant and wanting people to actually see for themselves, the amazing benefits this plant has.
She enlisted her long time close friend, Justin Reeves ( Partner/ Co-founder). He had suffered from a slight injury while playing soccer. Nichole quickly decided that she needed to show him some alternative medicine to help him heal naturally and potentially quicker. After he saw the results he jumped on board and these two set out to help close friends and family solve their topical needs in a more natural way without smelling medicated.
From there, they continued to spread the hemp love across the United States. Currently, they can be found in numerous stores, spas, gift shops and some dispensaries in most states.
They are also international award winners through Global Hospitals and Physicians Magazine in 2021 and voted Alignable business of the year, 2022.
They also enjoy giving back within the communities. They have sponsored local youth sports and have donated to amazing causes and benefits to help others.

Nichole , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

As a company, Nichole and Justin decided to manufacturer products that could be sold in a variety of places, not just a 21+ dispensary. They wanted their product to be accessible to any age and gender so they chose to go THC free. They manufacture and distribute, through their company, topical luxury spa and bath CBD products. Manufactured with organic ingredients, they not only infuse it with organic CBD oil, they also infuse it with different essential oils to help relax, calm, up lift and regenerate your body without that “medicated” scent.
They also have a line, Risqué, that they infuse with pheromones to help enhance in the libido while calming any body aches and pains.
What sets us apart from other manufacturers is that not only do we have a true love for our clientele, we fully believe in the need for education as this is newer within the communities. There is so much to learn about these plants that most people don’t really know what to look for, for their specific needs. I like to help educate people on more than just our product because there are numerous products out there, that may specialize a little bit better in their particular needs, and we love to help them figure out what would work best for them as to not deter them from the amazing health properties of this plant.

We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.

Nichole and Justin met as Freshman in high school. Nichole, being a little social butterfly and typical cheerleader, made friends with one of the soccer players, Justin, that first semester. Oddly enough, every single semester, all four years, these two were in the exact same science class.
Nichole noticed how intelligent Justin was and immediately made him become her lab partner. He was always calm with explaining how a particular thing would work or how a chemical reaction would take place, when she didn’t quite understand from the teacher.
If it wasn’t for him, she never would of gotten into tinkering with topicals for herself as she got older.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

Justin had built up savings overtime, from working hard at his job. Nichole’s savings had been depleted due to her cancer treatments. Unfortunately, towards the tail end of her cancer issues, her father passed from cancer. He left her a little bit of money from his retirement. She always felt weird taking it, as he was the one who worked incredibly hard his entire life to use it, and never got to. She felt that she needed to take this capital and put it towards a good cause to help others.
