Alright, iLxveDaHustle thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

I first realized I wanted to pursue my dreams with music when I started back making music and hearing the growth in my self and the music. Friends, family and even strangers would tell me I should take the music serious . After recently going through some traumatic events in my life I learned that music is my form of coping. I run to music when I’m angry , sad/depressed or even happy and I use those feelings and emotions as motivation to make quality music. Losing my daughter & father motivated me to be able to tell my story and finally be able to drop music for the world to be able to listen and relate to.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

First and foremost I’m a father . I go by the name of “ iLxveDaHustle” I am 24 years old and an artist that was born & raised in La. I’ve always been into music growing up I would listen to oldies , rap , pop and etc . Being able to have my ears open to different genres allowed me to be able to be more versatile within my music. I didn’t have video games , cable , clothes and etc. nor did I go to amusement parks growing up , I fell into the streets and music became a big outlet for me therefore ,I strive to make authentic music for my fans and followers to be able to listen to and be able to use in there daily lives rather they are feeling sad , mad or even angry . My most latest song that I am proud of is “ MockingBird Freestyle “ . I believe what sets me apart from other artists is my story , my flow , and the beats I use to express my thoughts is different from most artists in LA . My fans could look forwards to me dropping more singles and music videos to be able to see the consistency and how hungry of an artist I am .

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

1. What keeps me going with making music is FAMILY . Knowing that I have the chance to be able to change my family/friends situation and be able to build a foundation and stop the cycle of poverty and pass along generational wealth.

What also keeps me going with making music is being able to hear the positive feedback from fans/followers .

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is when others tell me how much my song touched their heart or how they were able to relate to it.
