Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nicholas Seedsman. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Nicholas, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today The first dollar you earn is always exciting – it’s like the start of a new chapter and so we’d love to hear about the first time you sold or generated revenue from your creative work?
I started private acting lessons via zoom NOV 2022, then went to LA to pursue humble beginnings after 5 months. As I arrived the writer and actor strike began of 2023, of which closed the industry in the US. Upon meeting a Prodcucer in Hollywood for dinner with a mutual acting friend, he said, “I’m still shooting in Bulgaria, which is like an oil rig of the industry. We don’t stop.”
Two days later I had flown to Bulgaria, I met the casting director and set myself as a local hire. I did a casting and then did their studio stunt course, eventually meeting the director for the next film project.
My first gig would be in his film, for Paramount+ / AppleTV. I would then do another one month later for the same platforms, then I was off in the race of the industry.

Nicholas, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve lived multiple lives. By 21: I had been a Electrical Engineer in the Navy; an infantry team commander; and an Operator in the top tier Special forces (SAS). By 29: I had been on multiple combat deployments, seen all the war one can see; conducted multiple jungle operations; multiple diplomatic/intelligence operations; and travelled a majority of corners of the world, both in service and out. And I did not slow down (currently 37), seeing all the highs and lows one’s full life can teach them.
When I recovered from a comorbid, health catastrophe post service, I looked hard into the rebirth of myself and realised that I have essentially been given a new life, by some form of miracle. So, drawing from the two things I adored as a young man, war and films, mostly war films or adventure films genres, I went back to the only other thing I knew I was passionate in, acting.
I did one lesson, one lesson after 20 years; and just like that, I was all-in.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
When I left the Special Forces, post service, I suffered from: multiple complex physical injuries; an accumulatively failed physiological system resulting in autoimmunity, and was eventually given 3 months left to live; and also a complete mental health catastrophe including PTSD, etc.
I would journal daily, and most days the same written entry would reappear in my journal, “I regret existing.” Albeit, I did/would not quit.
I spent the next years dedicated to rescuing myself from multiple existential crises. I ultimately tried everything with the upmost tenacity, finally successfully stabilising my life, and ultimately returning to homeostasis, physically with Stem Cells, and mentally with indigenous medicines, both in Latin America.
During this time I would still teach myself 2 other languages, as well as many other life skillsets, in the hope that I would survive and one day be able to put these into use.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I have a 30 year plan, I’m in no rush, I am calm and self-inspired on my own path. Before my time is done, I wish to reach whatever the absolute pinnacle of one’s self-actualisation in this art/life I have chosen.
