We recently connected with Nicholas Prescott and have shared our conversation below.
Nicholas, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I was always into writing and poetry growing up so I always realized that I had a creative side. I feel like it wasn’t up until 3 years ago when I made the decision to fully take my music professionally. I invested in my own recording equipment and I just took the risk. You can’t be afraid to chase after what you want in life forever because you never know if you’re passing up on a life changing opportunity.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My musician name is GME Muziek I’m a Rap/Hip Hop music artist. I am also the CEO/Founder of my own independent record label called GIFTED Music Entertainment. I fell in love with wanting to make music when I was 10 years old. It started off as me just writing tons of lyrics and then actually test recording myself. I professionally started dropping music 2 years ago and my music collection consists of nearly a hundred songs. I feel like what sets me apart from others is the fact that I’m not afraid to be versatile with my musical craft. I am most proud of being able to reach different people from around the country and around the world through my music. For potential clients and fans I hope that you would be willing to take a risk on this creative journey with me. I want to make Music that the whole world can love. I also advocate for Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention so I definitely look to partner with people who share the same love for these causes as we help heal others.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Many people don’t know but after i left to go out on my own at 19 I was homeless for two years. It was so many times throughout those years that I actually wanted to give up be over with everything. But I feel like the turning point for me was moving to another state and getting a brand new start somewhere different. I feel like me overcoming so much struggle on my own really made me a stronger person because I refused to give up. All I wanted to do was get back to a point of making music again.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I feel like one of my biggest goals on this music journey is making sure my mom never has to work again and she’s well taken care of. I want to make a lasting impact inside and outside of music. I want to be involved with giving back to communities and starting charities to help those in need. But my main mission is to set myself apart from other artists in my genre. I feel like without family, faith and my fans I really wouldn’t be where I am today. I’m not fully where I want to be as a musician but I’m never done working hard for my goals and dreams.
