We recently connected with Nicholas Morgan and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicholas, thanks for joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
Well, I’d like to first start off by saying music wasn’t really an interest for me at first. Growing up, I did hang around many musicians, and creatives that somewhat inspired me to pursue a career in music. The only problem I had really was where do I get started? I remember my first time even stepping foot inside of a studio. I mean, of course I was nervous, or did not have any clue on what to say while attending the studio session, but as I started recording it felt good to finally hear how I actually sounded on a recorded track. Many of my peers as well as people who I’ve never even met before have told me I sound good and I should consider continuing music or starting a career in radio. It was only a matter of time that I found my unique sound and rhythm for doing music.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I would like to first introduce myself as Nicholas Morgan, in which I also go by oNE Nuke. I’m an independent artist out of the Atlanta area, and I most certainly have a strong passion for making music. I actually grew up from a single parent household, and was involved in many sports for the time being. In high school, I’ve been introduced to a little bit of the music world, such as being in chorus, play free styling with friends, and even performing written songs in front of different audiences. I guess you could say this was in some way preparing me for the lifestyle of being an artist. While in school, I did have some exposure to being in a studio just to basically catch the feel for what it feels like being in the studio, and how to use the equipment while being in the studio. I never knew I would even have the opportunity to not only express my feelings or emotions to others, but the studio is kind of where I feel at home sometimes. What I feel sets me apart from others is my positive attitude 25/8. Everywhere I go there is always a huge smile on my face, and the attitude of “I am ready to work or finally see what the day has in store for me.” I’m the kind of person that always keep business separate from my personal life experiences. One thing I am mostly proud of is never giving up on continuing my journey. I honestly feel like once you give in you will never know of what opportunities you could possibly miss out on.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I could honestly say there are several goals as an artist that I am prepared to accomplished or in some way are close to accomplishing so far. As a music creative, you are prone to establishing various goals if not everyday, at least occasionally in order to challenge yourself and reach even newer goals that you probably couldn’t reach. The main goal is to most certainly never limit yourself from reaching your fullest potential. Now me personally, I know I may have a couple of goals here and there that may be challenging to accomplish, but one in particular goal I have in mind is: No matter what’s going on in my life or how hard life gets, continue to pursue your dreams as if you were just getting started. This most definitely sticks out to me because this message always keeps me motivated to not only just accomplishing my goals but as well as making my family proud in the process.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
The resources I wish I knew about earlier in my journey would have to be connected with the ability to network. This is often a challenging thing to do because this is really based on timing and being in the right place at the right time. You are often introduced to so many people, so many materials, and so much more opportunity now, compared to where you started your journey and if I could rewind back and utilize the things I know now, I would be in a way higher position that I’m in now. One resource that people tend to utilize on a day to day basis in order to advertise or promote their brand or niche is social media. Social media is such a powerful resource that at any given moment, if the right person runs across your platform you can instantly be in the spotlight and it is up to you to utilize that opportunity.
