We recently connected with Nicholas Martini and have shared our conversation below.
Nicholas , appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
After having the dream to work with celebrities, producers, & creators I finally took the chance to invest in myself as a brand/ creative. I’ve always been intersted in pop culture and something I always wanted to do was to interview the people who made my childhood. My first project would be my most meaningful… Anthony Forrest ( Star Wars, Oppenheimer, The Spy Who Loved Me), The challenge with this task was to land my first actor. Most don’t want to waste their time when you have 0 subscribers, 0 views with little to no creative start. I approached Anthony and he was more than willing to give me some time. All of my interviews have a special meaning to me as I have a very raw approach. I write minimal notes, little to no editing, just pure conversation. Anthony opening up to me gave me the confidence to continue to reach out to these creative forces and grow my craft!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My primary career is as a Registered Nurse on a Orthopedic/ Trauma floor. I first sparked the idea of Martini’s Cantina in the beginning of my college education. It gave me drive and purpose to finish school to be able to support myself with my new adventure. The goal of podcasting wasn’t a career for me but I want to use it to travel the world meeting people who created things my group and I adore. Since then I’ve worked with creatives from Activision, Marvel, Star Wars & more! A logo was a challenge for me, thankfully using my old side hustles I was able to connect with a friend who created this one of the a kind sing/ badge.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
As much a cliche this is, I’m just getting started. My next goals would be to be invited to cons such as San Diego & New York. I would also love to be a moderator for a panel at shows to get a feeling of live broadcasting. I never had any background in interviewing so that would certainly be a challenge for me.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Keep posting, find stuff you love and post. If you think the post is bad, post is anyway. The more you spread your name the more opportunities arise.
