Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nicholas Buamah. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Nicholas, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
During Christmas of 2020, while COVID was devastating families, I initiated an event through my nonprofit, Books Without Borders, Inc., that we called “Nick’s Christmas Extravaganza.” This is where we donated food, money, and toys to families in need. In that first year, we were able to raise $14,000 to assist several families. The following year, with COVID still affecting the world, we pivoted our cause and used “Nick’s Christmas Extravaganza” to donate to the National Health Insurance Scheme in Ghana where we were able to purchase healthcare insurance for children. Our efforts were so impactful that we decided to donate to this cause every year. Since the first donation to now, we have been able to help more than 5000 kids receive healthcare insurance.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m a 13-year-old author, motivational speaker, and philanthropist, among other titles. I embarked on my writing journey at the age of 7 and have since published four books, all of which are now cataloged in the Library of Congress. My latest book, ‘The Sky Is Not The Limit’ released in February 2024, is filled with positive affirmations designed to encourage my peers to dream big.
In recent years, I discovered a passion for writing scripts, which led me to create my own TV show, Nick’s House. This sitcom, which I co-wrote and starred in alongside my close friends Janae Madison, Cavanaugh Bell, Seree’ Abellard, and Bailey Love, showed me that age was nothing but a number and that I could do anything I put my mind to.
Despite engaging in various activities, I’ve discovered that my true passion lies in public speaking and community service. I find joy in visiting different schools and events to motivate and inspire my peers, as well as in giving back to underprivileged communities. I believe that everyone has the potential to shine brightly, and I see it as my mission to help polish those diamonds, revealing their brilliance to the world.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
What I love about being a creative is seeing my ideas blossom into reality. There’s a unique satisfaction in thinking of a concept one month and, a few months later, witnessing the finished project, knowing that I brought it to life. Whether it’s publishing a book or producing a TV show, the most fulfilling aspect of being a creative is watching others admire and enjoy what I’ve created.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My goal is to demonstrate to my peers that anything is achievable if we set our minds to it. As young individuals, our potential is boundless, limited only by our own beliefs and the limitations we impose upon ourselves. I want them to understand that “The Sky Is Not the Limit.” That’s why I chose these words as the title of my latest book, now available for purchase on Amazon and at various other online book retailers.
Each purchase of my book helps to create more episodes of my TV show, Nick’s House. Thank you so much for your support.
