We were lucky to catch up with Nichimyo Rich recently and have shared our conversation below.
Nichimyo , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I founded Amor Four Collective (A4) with a mission to elevate the voices of rebels and drive community change. Our focus on PR and advocacy allows us to share the stories that matter and spark positive impact. We’re based in NYC, and through community outreach campaigns, brand story development, and media pitching, we help our clients connect with Gen Z and Millennial audiences.
In today’s digital age, having a strong online presence is crucial for BIPOC brands to take control of their narrative and showcase their unique stories. That’s why A4 offers digital marketing services, using our expertise to help our clients build a community and share their story in a matter of seconds. Plus, we know our stuff!
I’m passionate about supporting BIPOC voices that are making a generational impact and carving out their own space. I wanted to provide them with the tools to be seen and heard, and to become icons of this generation. A4 is dedicated to helping our clients build their brands and share their stories authentically with their audiences. Together, we can create real change and make a positive impact on the world.

Nichimyo , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
In high school, I was obsessed with creating TV shows! I loved building worlds and making characters that people would fall in love with. Even when I was in the NYC shelter system, I always had my notebook with me to write plays and stories.
But someone told me that I needed to do something “practical” with my life. Ugh, how boring! So instead, I decided to combine my passion for storytelling with my desire to uplift incredible voices making change. When I was a senior in high school, I learned about Malala, the girl who fought for her right to education and was shot for it. I knew I had to share her story with the world, and that’s when I discovered the magic of public relations.
After college, I continued to use my media skills to make a difference in my community. I was the Editor-In-Chief of The Paper, a social justice-focused newspaper for underrepresented voices on campus. And I worked with youth who had connections to the incarceration system, using storytelling techniques to amplify their voices.
Now, at A4, we work with badass BIPOC rebels in fashion, lifestyle, and advocacy to build, develop, and share their stories with the world. We’re the home for changemakers who want to make a difference and leave their mark on the world. Let’s do this!

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I’m a New Yorker born and bred, and growing up, my mother and I had to navigate the city’s shelter systems. Finally, at 18, we landed our forever apartment (the dream, right?). Now, at 26, stability is my top priority, but that doesn’t mean I’ve lost my spark. My experiences have only made me more determined to make a difference and blaze my own trail. I love nothing more than connecting with friends and sharing the most amazing moments. And let me tell you, I’m proud of my journey! I absolutely hate when people say “you’ve done so much despite all of that.” No way! I’ve done so much because of it all, and I’m going to keep on crushing it as an icon.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I found that my branding needed a revamp because there was a disconnect between my aesthetic and my target audience. So, I went back to the drawing board and started with my brand story and strategy. Who is my audience? What story do I want to tell?
My top tip is to focus on your brand story. Who is your target audience? What are their pain points? How can you solve them and keep sharing that message in new and innovative ways? What is your unique value statement and media messaging?
Once you have that nailed down, create content that truly connects with your audience and showcases your brand’s strengths. And if social media management isn’t your thing, don’t hesitate to hire a pro!
