Neslene J, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. The first dollar your business earns is always special and we’d love to hear how your brand made its first dollar of revenue.

My first client found me by word of mouth. I remember I was nervous but also excited knowing that someone had heard about me and wanted to come in for a service done by me. I remember triple checking to make sure everything was perfect before she came in. She was the sweetest lady and was also excited because this was going to be her first facial in 15 years.

During the treatment, she would whisper little things like, “Oh my gosh, this is amazing,” and, “Wow!” and I kid you not, I was screaming on the inside with excitement. When she first looked in the mirror was the best part of it all. Her reaction to seeing her skin after the treatment was priceless, and to know I was a part of this happiness was so rewarding.

Neslene J, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Neslene J. Sahagun, and I am the founder of Neskin Beauty. I am a Licensed Esthetician and was introduced to this industry back in 2020. I provide facial treatments to help with any skin concerns, as well as, eyelash extensions to enhance the beauty of lashes.

I am proud of how far I’ve come in this business and how much I’ve built in 3 years. I want you all to know I am here to give you the relaxing experience you all deserve and more.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Networking through existing clients has been the best source of new clients for me. Whether it be my clients reposting my work, or referring me to a friend, that alone helps with exposure and there is always someone who needs some kind of self-care.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

Social media has been the most successful for me. I find that posting your work consistently attracts the right clientele for you and engaging with your followers can help gain traction to your business.
