Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nesha Nycee. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Nesha , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I knew at the age of nine years old that i wanted to pursue music full time as an outlet to express the challenges and adversity i was pushing through.
Nesha , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started writing music at the age of 9 years old by the time i was 12 i was recording some of my first songs. I’ve had the opportunity to work with so many legendary people on my way up such as Jazze Phae, Dungeon Family, Organized Noize, Kurtis Blow, KRS 1, Dougie Fresh etc Opening for acts such as Lil Kim, Mulatto, Brandy, Monica, Faith Evans, Young Nudy and so many others to name. I remember being crowned the Undisputed Freestyle Champ at ATL’s biggest Hiphop & R&B station V103. I also have had some success with TV placements on TV shows such as Euphoria and P Valley, Nesha is an international artists, she shows no signs of slowing down what so ever. Nesha Nycee stepped in a new position with LOCO PLUS a female founded Social platform for creatives. I have always accepted the challenge. I cant wait to see what else the universe has in store for me.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I have so many stories of having my back against the wall, however never giving up no matter what has always been a super power of mine. In 2011 i was in a severe car accident, I didnt have a pulse at first, i was unconscious for four days it took me 9 months to rehabilitate from this severe accident. This was such a trying time for me; being in pain feeling discouraged during a time where i felt like i lost it all. I picked my self up by the bootstraps and i kept going i remember going to the studio in my neck brace not allowing anything to stop my passion.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding thing to me is seeing the impact my music makes, my energy uplifting and inspiring people to continue on.
