We were lucky to catch up with Nephron 3000 recently and have shared our conversation below.
Nephron, appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
The story behind my mission is to take live entertainment and creative perspective to another experience. I want to combine a creative aesthetic with live entertainment to make the consumer feel amazed and intrigued. I also want to provide a platform for artists and entrepreneurs to tell their story and have open creative control!

Nephron, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I always loved music since a young age. I would later fall in love with the business aspect when I was a freshman in high school. I started by cutting out pictures of celebrities in popular magazines and creating my own magazine by putting my own perspective on what the article should say. I was a massive concert go-er so I would also fall in love with how concerts were put together.
During this part of my life, I met a group of creative kids that were deep into the local music scene.
Once I got into the buffalo music scene, I began to connect with multiple music artists and work on artist development and management.
Things began to pick up and I was approached by a guy named Shawn Patterson who owned a company called Haute La Vie. He was running an event called Anti Venue. Anti Venue was created because, at the time, venues would not allow hip hop/rap artists to occupy their spaces. So instead of using their space, he would use of unconventional spaces to still showcase artists’ talents. He wanted me to be a part of the show and I gladly accepted the position. I was the artist coordinator and stage director of the show. Shawn decided to take Anti Venue on tour, and it became something great! We did a show in Atlanta, Toronto, Rochester, and Buffalo!
After several years of working with my peers, I decided to create my own business. In 2020 during the pandemic, I decided to create a business that is geared towards combining an amazing experience adding creatives, artists, and entrepreneurs called BettyCroc Entertainment. One of my events under BCE is called The Spotlight Series 716. The Spotlight Series is a platform for artists, business owners, and creatives to tell their story. I teamed up with Oscar Heard a creative director and Owner of OMTAMT (One Mans Trash is Another Mans Treasure) a men’s thrift line and Schondra Aytch Founder of SneakVibing Blog to create an event tied to present an artist in an intimate setting with a live 20–25-minute detailed interview by Schondra and a live performance afterward. Oscar creates the aesthetic based on the artist’s personality and branding technique. For creatives and business owners, we have a videographer to come and highlight them expressing the passion they have for their particular talent, what we can expect, and how people can contact them for services.
In August of 2021, I had my first spotlight series featuring an amazing artist name Kane Wave and since then I have completed 6 spotlight series with amazing artists. I am proud to say that I am on my 7th show on March 23rd, 2023, with signed artist Rick Hyde from B$F!
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I feel that already having a great connection with the Music scene in Buffalo helped me have a great reputation. I managed and helped with artist development. I also helped A&R with a few music projects.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The source of new clients for me has been great word of mouth and social media.
