We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nelson Bolton a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Nelson , thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

For a While now we been contemplating of taking the plunge and open some sort a business for our selves. Unfortunately Covid came along, then the uncertainty, and the risk of opening a business and doing such a huge investment after COVID was nerve racking and very scary.

As a background in hospitality and a GM for Casual fine dinning restaurants i fell in love with doing private parties at the restaurant and just seeing how everyone was so happy at the end of the night because of a service that me and my team provided it was the best feeling ever. So after looking and looking for franchising opportunities, buying a restaurant, and allot of other avenues, we stumbled into Kate from Fetewell on tik tok, I started following her, loved what she did with her three venues and then she announced that she was about to start franchising! and One year ago we took the plunged and after one hard long year here we are, already hosting weddings for amazing couples on their special day!

Nelson , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

What sets us apart from all other Venues is that we will not let you alone during your big day. We will be there every step of the way to make sure your event goes smoothly. We care about each and everyone of our guests and we want to make sure that everyone is having a perfect time! And we will jump in and assists on anything that we need to during the process to make sure everything is flawless!

I mean Its a wedding something is bound to happen! But with 20+ Years in the hospitality business I have seen it all and you can rest assure that we will find a solution for the problem.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

This has been a one in a lifetime journey, learning about commercial construction, permits, inspections, a historic building! of course we were over budget at the end and we justs didnt take no for an answer, we just didnt stop and with every no there was 3 other options we or three other leads that we followed until we made it hear. We heard “NO” over and over and over again but that didnt stop us!

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

Luis and I ( Nelson ) have been married for 6 years. We met back in Atlanta when both of us were kind of a slump in our lives. We have both lost jobs, ended toxic relations ships, just the whole nine yards, sleeping on friends couches you named it it happened!

But that was part of life, we both met it was a wrap! we are soul mates. My weakness are his strengths and vice versa! We are a team and we support each other!
