We were lucky to catch up with Neika William recently and have shared our conversation below.
Neika, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump right into the heart of things. Outsiders often think businesses or industries have much larger profit margins than they actually do – the reason is that outsiders are often unaware of the biggest challenges to profitability in various industries – what’s the biggest challenge to profitability in your industry?
One of the most common reasons that new real estate agents get into the industry is the promise of making tons of money and making your own schedule and let me be the first to tell you, IT IS ALL FAKE NEWS, my friend. You don’t make any money if you don’t sell any homes, and most real estate agents sell very few homes each year. In addition, there are multiple other factors that make profitability a challenge in the real estate industry. As a Top Producing Agent in the Metro Atlanta Area, my biggest challenge was facing the reality that People will not just start calling me and hiring me to sell their house just because I have a website and a social media handle. My reality became ” This is going to be hard work, Neika, and you need to work hard every day for every deal you get and for every penny you make”. My biggest challenge was the constant reminder that the clientele and the business will not fall into my lap without grit and perseverance. Real estate is a long term game and that is tough pill to swallow. In most cases, the effort you put in today will pay off in a minimum of 90 days, if AT ALL. The truth of the matter is if You’re not willing to give it your all in order to see your real estate business take off, It will never be profitable.

My name is Neika William, formerly known as “NeikaW.” and I am a Top Producing REALTOR® in the Metro Atlanta Area. I have been a licensed real estate agent since the age of 19. Shortly after graduating from Augusta University with a BA in Foreign Language Education in 2020, I have dedicated three years to teaching high school students on how to speak french fluently. However, after long work hours at school, I caught myself having a love affair with Real Estate. Slowly but surely, my love for real estate took over my life which led me to quitting my 9-5 job in becoming one of the most successful and youngest entrepreneurs in Atlanta. What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Consistency! Consistency is key when building a reputation in any and every industry market you’ in. I have a lot of inspired agents reach out to me frequently to ask for the secret sauce and only if they knew how simple it can all be. When you stay consistent with who you are and what you do, nothing is unobtainable. My secret sauce is consistently putting my best foot forward and NOT giving up regardless of the circumstances. My vision is clear. I know what I want and I know my purpose. Therefore, on days where things get rough, I keep going! I am truly unstoppable. Nothing and No one can stop me from achieving my goals and live the life I dream of. I deserve the world and I will wait on no one to provide that for me. And If not me, then who?
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Ever since my debut in this career, social media has been the best source of new clients for me. People tend to easily gravitate toward my personality and my presence on social media. And for that, I am grateful. I had the opportunity to meet some of the most amazing people on earth through the internet. I’ve created and built some of the most amazing friendships and working relationships through the transparency of my day to day life and how I help others become successful in their goals to obtain homeownership and create generational wealth for their families. Knowing that I have helped a total stranger make such a huge transition in their life, is probably one of the most fulfilling thing on earth and I do not take this role lightly.
