We were lucky to catch up with Negin Rajaipour, Md recently and have shared our conversation below.
Negin, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
One of the most impactful things my parents did right was teaching me independence and resilience in the face of life’s challenges. While they came from a culture that valued tradition and conformity, their actions often encouraged me to embrace my own journey and rely on my own strength to navigate the world.
My father, in particular, played a significant role in shaping my independence. He believed in the importance of self-reliance and didn’t shy away from giving me responsibilities that pushed me beyond my comfort zone. I remember one instance when I was still quite young, and he told me, “If you want something done, figure out how to do it yourself.” At the time, I resented his tough approach, but looking back, I realize how much it prepared me for the challenges I’d face as an adult. His belief in my capability gave me the confidence to step into difficult situations, whether it was pursuing a career in medicine or navigating complex personal relationships.
My mother, despite the hardships she endured, showed me the strength found in love and sacrifice. She didn’t have the tools or the support to heal from her own wounds, but she gave all she could to ensure her children had a better life. I remember her waking up before dawn to take care of the family, quietly handling countless tasks that went unnoticed but were vital. Her resilience taught me the value of perseverance and the importance of showing up, even when life feels overwhelming.
Together, their lessons shaped me into the person I am today—a woman who can stand on her own, navigate challenges with grace, and support others on their journeys. In my career as a physician, I draw upon my father’s belief in independence and my mother’s capacity for love and service. Their strengths, along with the lessons I’ve learned from healing the gaps they couldn’t fill, fuel my work and my passion for helping others discover their own inner power.
Though the path hasn’t always been easy, my parents gave me the foundation to thrive. I honor their legacy by continuing to grow, staying true to myself, and helping others do the same.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Dr. Negin Rajaipour, MD, a board-certified family medicine physician and passionate advocate for holistic health. My journey into this field is deeply personal, shaped by my own experiences of healing from physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges. While I practice evidence-based medicine, I’ve also explored alternative approaches to health, learning how integrative care can transform lives.
My path began with a desire to help others through traditional medicine. Over the years, as I treated patients with increasingly complex health challenges, I realized that true healing goes beyond simply treating symptoms. My personal healing journey introduced me to various holistic modalities like acupuncture, Reiki, plant medicine, and integrative approaches. While I don’t practice these modalities myself, I’ve experienced their benefits firsthand and have studied them extensively to better advocate for my patients.
I saw a need to bridge the gap between conventional medicine and alternative practices. Many of my patients were seeking holistic solutions, and I wanted to be someone they could trust to guide them. By understanding and respecting these approaches, I can empower my patients to make informed decisions and incorporate these modalities into their care plans.
In my work, I focus on providing personalized care for patients facing complex health challenges. My goal is to help them navigate their journey to better health, integrating holistic options when appropriate. For example, if a patient expresses interest in alternative modalities, I work with them to safely and effectively incorporate those approaches alongside their medical treatments.
Additionally, I create content on health and wellness to inspire and educate a broader audience. Through my social media and writing, I share insights on resilience, self-love, and holistic healing—always grounded in authenticity and a deep understanding of both conventional and alternative health approaches.
I specialize in supporting patients with chronic or complex health challenges, including:
• Managing multiple medical conditions
• Navigating the healthcare system with confidence
• Addressing stress and burnout
• Exploring holistic and integrative options for healing
What sets me apart is my ability to combine my medical expertise with a strong advocacy for holistic approaches. I meet patients where they are, ensuring their care is tailored to their unique needs and values.
I’m most proud of my ability to help patients with complex health challenges find hope and improvement. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a patient’s health and well-being improve under my care. I’m also proud of being an advocate for patients who are interested in exploring alternative and holistic modalities. By empowering them with knowledge and options, I help them achieve a sense of ownership and alignment in their healing journey.
At the core of my work is a commitment to whole-person care. I believe in the power of self-love, resilience, and authenticity as essential parts of the healing process. While I practice conventional medicine, I’m deeply passionate about integrating holistic options for those who seek them. My goal is to guide patients toward a healthier, more balanced life—whether through traditional treatments, holistic approaches, or a combination of both.
If you’re looking for a physician who combines medical expertise with a deep understanding of holistic options, and who values your individual journey, I’m here to help. Together, we can work toward achieving your best health, aligned with your personal goals and values.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One of the most defining moments of resilience in my career was when I transitioned from practicing strictly conventional medicine to becoming an advocate for holistic health and integrative care. As a board-certified family medicine physician, I was trained in evidence-based practices, but over time, I noticed that many of my patients were seeking something more—healing that went beyond medications and procedures.
It was a challenge to step outside the boundaries of traditional medical training. I faced skepticism and even moments of self-doubt as I explored alternative modalities and expanded my understanding of holistic health. Balancing the expectations of a conventional medical career with my growing passion for integrative approaches required grit, persistence, and a willingness to embrace uncertainty.
Through this journey, I’ve developed a unique practice that combines the best of both worlds. I now guide patients through complex health challenges, incorporating holistic options where appropriate, while staying rooted in evidence-based medicine. This experience not only reshaped my career but also deepened my ability to connect with patients and empower them to take charge of their health.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The biggest lesson I had to unlearn was the idea that success is defined by adhering to a rigid, predefined path. Early in my career, I believed that being a good physician meant following the traditional medical model without question—diagnose, prescribe, and treat. But as I gained more experience, I realized that this narrow approach didn’t always address the full spectrum of my patients’ needs.
A pivotal moment came when a patient with chronic pain expressed frustration that medications alone weren’t helping. They wanted to explore other options, such as chiropractic and acupuncture, but hesitated to bring it up, fearing judgment. That conversation opened my eyes to the importance of meeting patients where they are and considering their whole being—mind, body, and spirit.
To fully embrace this broader perspective, I had to unlearn the belief that sticking to traditional methods was the only way to succeed. I began to see myself not just as a doctor, but as a guide and advocate for my patients’ overall well-being. Today, I take pride in tailoring care plans that align with each individual’s values and goals, empowering them to explore integrative options when appropriate.
This shift in mindset has been transformational, allowing me to connect more deeply with my patients and provide care that’s truly comprehensive and patient-centered.
