We recently connected with Neetu Ramawad and have shared our conversation below.
Neetu , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
In 2013 I went through my own health crisis. I suffered from a ruptured ovarian cyst and had to rush to the emergency to understand what the extent of pain was that I had been experiencing. My primary care practitioner dismissed my symptoms and didn’t give me much understanding or any information on prevention and care. The only solution I was offered was to go on birth control or have a baby I wasn’t ready to have.
I was studying Holistic Nutrition at the time and was learning so much about how food, lifestyle and supplements were healing and supportive of healthy hormones. I started making the changes I was learning about and noticed that my periods were less painful and my PMS symptoms reduced.
This is how Wake Up Wellness was born to educate women on how to empower themselves with knowledge about their bodies, prevention, healing and preconception preparation.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I have worked in the corporate sales for over 10 years and have worked internationally in London, UK. I created Wake Up Wellness out of my own hormonal health crisis and started sharing information with friends and woman close to me. As I got older I was seeing more women concerned about their fertility. I started working with clients 1:1 and developed a group coaching program that would help women learn about their bodies, how to improve their symptoms so they could go out and live a fully life.
The problems I solve for woman are how to balance their hormones to reduce period symptoms that hold them back on a daily basis and I help women get pregnant naturally.
I am most proud of my drive to help women empower themselves with information to improve their health and overall quality of life. My approach is holistic where I focus on the physical, emotional, spiritual and mental landscape of the whole person and incorporate a Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic – East meets West approach to healing.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to learn that it’s completely normal to start over and over again. Each you time you have to start over you are not starting from scratch, you are starting from the perspective of someone with new experience, recalibrating at a new level with new experience and knowledge to offer. This goes for business and health, and the root of that is building a strong resilient foundation that you are restarting from.
This matters when life comes at you in ways you can’t imagine and you go off course. When you come back to the centre you are starting from a foundation that you’ve poured into with a tool box of resources that you’ve accumulated over the years.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for has always been word of mouth. When I work with someone and they have an experience they can’t get in the conventional medical system it’s different. Because my approach is about viewing the whole person holistically they feel seen, heard, understood and we work through emotional traumas that hold back from making the changes they need to make to move forward. We uncover this and rewrite a new narrative for my client to move forward and make the changes.
