We were lucky to catch up with Neeki Ostad recently and have shared our conversation below.
Neeki, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
Is it just me or does nobody talk about how hard it is to come up with a name for your business?! This was not something I had anticipated and thought it would be fairly easy. Originally I came up with a name that every person I initially shared it with agreed that it wasn’t fitting for my place. This took me back to square one, all in the midst of establishing my business paperwork. What I ended up going with was my ‘backup’ name, that I had told myself I would use if I couldn’t think of anything else. Anyone who knows me knows that black is my favorite color. Black in French is Noir (nuh-waar). That’s when Noir Medical Aesthetics was born!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I got into the medical aesthetic industry at the start of COVID, right when I had graduated nursing school. I immediately got thrown into hands on and course training for all medical spa related services, ranging from Botox and filler administration, to chemical peels, PDO threads, microneedling, lasers, and the list goes on. I very quickly discovered that I had found my passion and unlocked where my natural talents lie. After working at a couple of different medical spa’s, all while I had decided to go back to school for my Nurse Practitioner degree, I realized it was time to start something of my own with the plastic surgeon whom I worked with. The problem I solve for my clients is the problem that brought them through the door in the first place. I always say, the goal with medical aesthetics is not to change how you look, but to make you look rested and refreshed. Some come in for the first time after 40 years of life and realize it is time to start anti-aging, some come after having a baby and need a refresh, some come in their early 20’s to prevent what they are genetically predisposed to by looking at their mother/grandmother, etc. I specialize in injectables, such as Botox and fillers, and I also love to incorporate skincare into everyone’s regimen. What sets me apart is the honest recommendations I make and the education I provide to my patient’s, not just in the consultation process, but on Instagram as well. I am most proud of the integrity and honesty I have established between my patient’s and I. In this day in age, it’s easy to get caught up in Instagram filters and social media, so I strive to serve as that outside perspective that can offer honest feedback and realistic expectations from treatments we are able to offer.
I truly want the best for my patients and their long term outcomes, and I achieve this by keeping up with continued education, regularly learning from the best injectors in the industry, attending trainings, and reading peer-reviewed research/journals. At Noir Medical Aesthetics, we provide a quality experience with natural looking outcomes!

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new patients for me has honestly been referrals, which I am so happy about because the last thing I want to worry about is marketing or social media! It is a full-time job on its own to run a social media page or come up with marketing campaigns! I always tell my patient’s the best ‘tip’ is to send a friend over to support the business. This way, I have organic growth and loyal patients who trust me with their faces! I don’t buy Instagram followers, I don’t post ads, I don’t reach out to people. They come because of the before and after’s they see on my page and the feedback of their friends/family who come and see me.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I would say, it’s important to just be yourself and post content you’re truly passionate about. I’ve learned, posting no content is better than just posting something to be consistent. Quality over quantity, always. And that is my philosophy in life as well as how I treat my business. I originally began my page in nursing school when I was in classes, sharing the information I was learning. When I transitioned to aesthetics, I began sharing my journey with that and mostly everyone followed, in addition to my new clientele. I make sure that the patients can see the kind of results I provide and the look that they can expect to achieve when they come to me to get their injectables. What I’ve heard from patients is that they love the education I provide, and they love the outcomes they see. What you see is what you get with me!
