We were lucky to catch up with Needah Kavallierou recently and have shared our conversation below.
Needah, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’re complete cheeseballs and so we love asking folks to share the most heartwarming moment from their career – do you have a touching moment you can share with us?
I started Wild Heart Mamas right out of the pandemic. Moms had no place to go and socialize, we had parented in isolation for far too long, so I decided to start meeting at the park. I never thought that it would turn into what it is today, a safe space for parents to be themselves with no pressures or commitments, and have fun.
I get stopped by moms often who say “thank you for what you have created” and that makes my heart happy. I created mama magic for mothers and that to me is priceless!
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Needah and founder of Wild Heart Mamas. I founded a passion project almost 3 years ago that I wish I had when I had my first born son.
Wild Heart Mamas is a community built for mothers by mothers.
There are numerous lead mamas who have kept the magic alive over the years and I am forever grateful to them.
I am passionate about supporting mothers by building communities and promoting wellness. I strive to show mothers they can have happiness and calm while having children.
I am a therapist and then became a mama to the two most energetic will hearted boys. I am currently a full time Wild Heart Mama.
I look forward to going back to work exclusively with mothers, so stay tuned!
In the meantime you can check out my online store. Every purchase you make supports my ongoing efforts to keep Wild Heart Mamas thriving. Shop with us and help sustain the community that connects and empowers moms on their beautiful journey of motherhood.
I am a California native, born and raised. I live with my British husband who I met in Rome, Italy on a summer vacation, and now live in Pasadena with my family.
If you see me around, you’ll likely see a coffee in hand, stop me and say hi!
Let’s be friends mama!
xx
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Community building is what has helped me build my reputation. Everything I created is to build.a community for mothers by mothers. Moms deserve a space to be mothers with no judgements or expectations and that’s what I have built.
Businesses have also been generous and donated to the Wild Heart Mamas community as well.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I never started with a strategy or plan. I just wanted to create a space for mothers to be. There are many amazing mom groups locally but not every one can afford that. I did not want to exclude anyone so it’s still a free meet for the community and I take Venmo donations if moms are able to! Venmo- @needah-k The community has also provided so much to mothers that nearly every meet is sponsored by some amazing companies. There are themes or guests every week to keep it fun for everyone.
I grew my brand by created a safe, welcoming inviting space. Word of mouth and my Instagram @wildheartmamas has helped too!
