We were lucky to catch up with Necia Brunson recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Necia, before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
For all the beautiful and handsome readers out there that doesn’t know me. I am Necia B pronounced (Nesha B) I am an Entrepreneur, actress , author , poet, writer, and pianist born and raised in west Philadelphia to a single mother on July 8th 1993. I started my business at the age of 18 when I had the chance to volunteer at a nonprofit charity event and I knew that it was my passion to start my own to help the community and the people in need. It was something I always wanted to do at the age of 8 or 12 when I saw people living on the streets and I asked my mom why and her response was sometimes life can get hard. After opening up my nonprofit “from the heart foundation “ things started off good and then hit the fan I did go into a deep depression where I was sent to a hospital to get help. After getting help with my mental I went to college to major in business and after I graduated I started my other business This N That Enterprise is a retail fashion brand that I started after losing my job. I provide customized shirts and hoodies and jewelry. So far things are doing good even though it’s slow but I got confidence and faith that it will pick up big and things will lead to a better impact. I do everything from my home due to my work schedule at the Lincoln financial field working with the Philadelphia Eagles.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
Since I am new to the business industry I had took all my paychecks after I paid off my first lol . But I used those paycheck to buy all my business products which I still do as I his day cause I am still in the beginning stage of getting off the ground. It’s hard but you got to do what you do to do to achieve your dreams and goals.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn that things ain’t going to happen overnight and that I need to be patient but it’s hard when your goal is to eat and you want to be successful and financially stable.
