Necci , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

Juicing is my jam! I never imagined that something simple like juicing would completely transform my life.
In 2022, I made a bold move and left my home state of Michigan to move to a place unknown to me. Stepping out on faith and obedience to the Lord is the best decision that I have made. I didn’t have a support system here, but I did have a deep knowing that this is where I’m supposed to be. Starting new can be intimidating, but I wouldn’t change a thing.
Let the transformation begin. During the holiday season, I started seeing a few juice influencers appearing on my social media feed. Now, I was familiar with juicing and tried it before, but the bulky machines, low juice yield, and frustrating cleanup process turned me off. Honestly, I hated it. Then I thought maybe I should try juicing again.
After doing some research, I decided to go for it. I restarted juicing with a slow masticating juicer that was compact, efficient, easy to clean, and not too expensive to avoid wasting money. With no recipes to rely on I decided to be creative and juice everything that I liked by produce color. I never measured the amount of fruits and vegetables used and juiced “freestyle” (hence The Freestyle Juicer). Surprisingly, the first batch was so good. Juicing wasn’t like before because I really enjoyed the entire experience.
Juicing soon became an adventure. I fell in love with going to local farmer’s markets, farms, and u-pick fields. There’s something special about picking your own produce, for me it directly connects you to the earth. This journey introduced me to fruits and vegetables that I’d never even heard of expanding my palate.
Let me be honest juicing is work. You have to shop, clean, prep, juice, and clean again. However, I believe you have to want wellness more than you want convenience or sickness. What seemed like a chore has become a part of my self-care routine. Juicing is my health investment.
One day I started posting my juice blends and my trips to local markets on Facebook. I was surprised by the response. People were curious, complimenting the pretty juice colors, asking questions about my recipes and my process. Their interest inspired me to go deeper. I started attending workshops, webinars, and summits to learn from doctors, nutritionists, and other juicers about how food can heal the body. I discovered the powerful link between diet and disease.
According to the CDC, approximately 75% of adults in the United States are overweight or obese, and this is directly linked to a host of chronic conditions—including type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and even certain cancers. Poor nutrition and processed foods are often at the core. Here’s the good news many of these conditions are preventable and even reversible with consistent lifestyle changes. Juicing is one way to begin.
Juicing has helped me detox my body and support my digestive health. As a result, I lost weight, which is an added bonus to the clarity, energy, and confidence I’ve gained. For anyone on a weight loss journey, juicing when done properly can be a powerful tool. It fuels your body with nutrients while giving your digestive system rest from processed and inflammatory foods.
Has this journey always been easy? No. However, without having a changed mindset can make wellness harder than it has to be. I still am working on me too. I wasn’t always consistent and fell into unhealthy patterns, and weight gain. I’ve learned that wellness is personal. It’s not linear, and no two journeys will look the same. The important thing is to begin and to stay committed.
To support others on a similar path, I started a Facebook group called The Freestyle Juicer (Juicing and Wellness) Community. It’s a space focused on providing insight, and promote healthy living as a lifestyle, not a trend. In our community, we embrace the whole person body, mind, and spirit through juicing, healthy eating, movement, and prayer. It’s about creating a safe place where wellness and faith comes together.
Also, I wrote an eBook called The Freestyle Juicer: A Beginner’s Guide, where I share the blends, tips, and tools that helped me fall in love with juicing again. I want to encourage others to start where they are, with what they have, and to keep going.
The Freestyle Juicer’s foundation is rooted in Scripture, especially Genesis 1:29:
“And God said, ‘See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.’” This truth affirms that whole living foods were always part of God’s original design for our health and well-being.
Without health and wellness, we can’t live the life God destined us to live. Longevity is the result of wellness, losing weight is the by-product.
My mission is to help those who are ready to make a lifestyle change through health disciplines that are sustainable. Whether you’re new to juicing or just looking for a fresh start, know that change is possible. I’m living proof. And I’m here to walk alongside you. Healing is your portion.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hi, I’m Necci Cooper, The Freestyle Juicer. Never in my wildest dreams did I think something as simple as juicing would become the spark that transformed my life. In December 2022, after scrolling past juicing influencers popping up on my timeline, I decided to try again. I’d juiced before, but let’s be honest, bulky machines, messy clean-up, and barely enough juice to fill a glass? No, thank you. I didn’t want any part of that again. However, this time, something shifted. I tried again. And this time, juicing didn’t just reset my body—it changed the trajectory of my health destiny.
That’s how The Freestyle Juicer was born, not just as a brand, but out of my “personal” breakthrough. I didn’t create a business and step into it—I became the brand. I was tired of carrying extra weight and everything that came with it. Through juicing, clean eating, intentional movement, and the power of prayer, I dropped over 40 pounds and picked up my life. So I know firsthand what it feels like to be over 40, exhausted, and wondering if your best days are behind you. I also know the freedom that comes when you decide they’re not.
Our society often tells us that aging means slowing down, gaining weight, and accepting sickness as normal. I just refuse to buy that narrative. Once I saw the difference detoxing with fresh, nutrient-packed juices made with my energy, digestion, and weight loss, I knew my mission was bigger than me. It was clear: I had to help others reclaim their wellness and health, too.
So, who is The Freestyle Juicer? It’s anyone, especially those of us over 40, who chooses to make juicing a creative part of their health discipline. It’s for those who want freedom from wellness overwhelm and are ready to try something that actually works. I’m not here to follow trends or chase fads. Juicing has been around for decades for a reason, it’s simple, powerful, and freeing. Real health shouldn’t feel like punishment. It should feel like a celebration of life.
At the heart of my brand is a message that health is holistic. It’s self-care and soul-care. It’s knowing that how you nourish yourself matters. I guide people who feel stuck and help them take their first step. That’s why I wrote an e-book called The Freestyle Juicer: A Beginner’s Guide to provide recipes, helpful tips, and tools to guide “Freestylers” on their juice journey in a practical way. And I encourage folks to make juicing a fun experience—visiting local farms, connecting with growers, and turning their health journey into something experiential and exciting. Because when you know where your food comes from, you become more intentional. And when you become intentional, you become powerful.
Here’s what I believe to my core that “true” health is not in the pharmacy, it’s on the farm. And more importantly, it’s in your hands.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Whew, let me tell you, building something from scratch is not for the faint of heart. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced those moments when quitting felt easier than continuing. Being stuck year after year will not motivate anyone to go on.
When the space feels too crowded, it’s easy to believe your mission doesn’t matter. But then I remind myself, there are over 8 billion people in the world. Even the largest corporations can’t serve them all. There is room for me. There’s room for you, too.
Every time doubt tries to creep in, I remember that this work and calling aren’t just for me. Where there is purpose, there is provision. God’s provision. I’ve had to learn not to entertain the enemy of comparison. Vanity metrics don’t measure the true value of what I’m building. Stories of other creatives who pushed past the fear and still soared remind me to keep showing up. That success doesn’t need permission from anyone else but me.
This journey has stretched my faith and deepened my prayer life. It’s taught me to invest, sacrifice, and sit under the wisdom of those who’ve been where I’m going. And you know what? I’ve learned that it’s okay to start over as many times as you need to, as long as you don’t quit. Every setback has been a setup for a greater comeback. And I keep going, not because it’s easy, but because my mission has always been bigger than me, but never bigger than God.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
For the longest time, I believed that if something didn’t work out, it simply wasn’t meant to be. Sounds harmless, right? But that mindset held me captive. It whispered lies that made me question myself and almost led me to walk away from the vision God planted in my heart. Fear got too loud. Louder than my faith. And I listened for a while.
There were seasons when nothing worked. When the results weren’t showing as I had hoped. I remember crying tears of sorrow that came from deep discouragement. Because I truly thought maybe I missed it. I thought to myself that I wasn’t cut out for this. I almost dismantled the whole thing. But God wouldn’t let me.
Starting a business takes time. And learning to be patient with that process was hard. I had to unlearn the belief that failure defined me. It doesn’t. Failure is an event, not an identity. It’s certainly not my identity. I had to stop making failure personal. It’s not a reflection of my worth, gift, or calling. It’s just life. And in many ways, it’s the best teacher I’ve ever had.
So now, when something doesn’t go as planned, I don’t shrink back—I lean in. I ask, “What is this here to teach me?” I’ve learned to pivot with grace and keep growing as I go. Because even in the detours, there’s destiny. Failing may not always be a friend, but it’s not always an enemy, either.
