Alright, Naura thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?

To become successful, it takes dedication, planning, organization, self investment, vision, criticism, sacrifices, and most importantly prayer to God. Some people think becoming “successful” or “rich” happens within a blink of an eye or a snap of the finger, but it does not. Becoming successful requires a lot of focus. If you are really thriving & aiming to get your business to its prime, you will have long restless nights, headaches, disappointments, downfalls, slow bookings, and so much more. All the glitz & glam clients see on the outside, is no where near the hard work you have to put it in behind closed doors. Being an entrepreneur, our goal is to make our clients & future clients feel an experience they’ve never felt before. Therefore you have to work hard to make sure you can fulfill those objectives for your clients. Sacrifices will be made, such as not being so available to others anymore, limited spending & more saving, and educating yourself on the highest quality necessities to make your business come to life. Being successful is fun and a great feeling, however you have to put in the work and grind to where you want to be.

“Designs By Naura Sky” is an Event Planning business. We provide our clients with the upmost & professional services to help bring their dream event to life. Our goal is to take all stress off our clients when it comes to their event. We take pride into their vision on their events & make sure to fulfill their event with each & every requirement with a splash of more detail. We want our clients to feel comfortable with knowing our team will assuredly bring their visions to life. We do so by having scheduled meetings with our clients, keeping our clients updated with our daily information & updates, always follow up with our clients to make sure we are on the same page and if they want to add/take away something we’ve previously discussed, and if we discover better opportunity for the event. Communication is our biggest factor when it comes down to our business. Professionalism is what we love to display.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

What helped build Designs By Naura Sky’s reputation was investment, promotion, criticism, and research. In order for my business to spark, I did a lot of research on what I should do. I got certified in my field, I went through lectures, I did interns with other event planners, and I practiced. To gain clientele, I started a business page strictly for Designs By Naura Sky. On there, I promote event planning, positive quotes, broadcast my work, promote exclusive deals we may offer during the holidays, and so much more which attracts my audience to my page.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

When I first began my business, I didn’t have much, but I used what I had. I did some research on great schools where I could get certified in my field for cheap but with good benefits and that’s when I discovered IAP Career & College. After I got certified, I invested in a photoshoot to be able to promote on my new business page I created on Instagram @designsbynauraskyy . Afterwards, I began using cute event planning aesthetic photos to promote on my page, paid for promotion, and began to watch my page grow. I even invested in some business cards and my own google business website where clientele began to grow even more. When it comes to funding your business from start, you don’t have to do much. You do what it is important and what you can to help your business flourish. Trust me, the smallest things attracts the biggest crowds.
