We were lucky to catch up with Nathan Keck recently and have shared our conversation below.
Nathan, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
So ever since growing up in the 90s and seeing Steve Irwin on the tv, he became my idol. I knew from a young age that I have always wanted to work with animals in some way. My pre-teen years I realized I had a love for photography and digital art, so I started looking into conservation photography and telling stories through photos. Now two, almost three years, into my photography career, Ive gotten to work with not only a zoo and have my photography displayed there. But I have also worked with the Teton Raptor center out here to tell their story. Its pretty wild getting up close and personal with predatory birds, and getting to speak for those who do not have a voice.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Nathan Keck, I am a published and award winning photographer. I specialize in wildlife/landscape/conservation photography, but I also provide services for the every day person. I offer photo sessions and also do processing services for outsourced sessions and everyday people. I am most proud of the work I have got to do with animals/conservation and hope to even take it further.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I get to show people the beauty in the everyday. The things most walk by and don’t even notice. Also, giving a voice to wildlife and nature itself.

Have you ever had to pivot?
I actually just moved 1200 miles across country, so now I am in the process of starting anew. Building new clientele and getting my name out again.
