Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nathan Jeter. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Nathan, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
For a long time, I felt something was missing in the massage industry, especially here in San Antonio. Many establishments felt uninviting, with dark, poorly maintained interiors that lacked warmth, professionalism, and any sense of luxury or pride. They fell short of providing the calm and comfort people seek in a wellness experience.
The idea for Luxe Thai Massage came from my time in Thailand, where massage isn’t just a service; it’s a ritual. Therapists take their time, the environment is peaceful, proud, and guests feel genuinely cared for. I wanted to bring that feeling home, combined with a luxury experience tailored to modern life. I saw a need for something different: something slower, quieter, and more meaningful.
That vision became Luxe Thai Massage. We built a space designed to help people fully disconnect, with private-suite sessions where everything is included upfront. Enhancements like hot stones, aromatherapy, warm oils, and Tiger Balm are part of every session and are never treated as costly add-ons. From the moment someone walks in to the moment they leave, every detail is crafted to create ease.
What gave me confidence, even before we opened, was how people responded to the idea. Friends, family, and local professionals would say, “That sounds amazing. I can never relax at those chain places.” Some even shared how they never felt fully comfortable walking in or out of certain massage businesses, describing a lingering sense of unease rather than relaxation. That’s when I realized we weren’t just offering massages, we were offering relief, stillness, and genuine care.
Starting this business wasn’t easy. There were plenty of challenges and no guarantees. However, the vision stayed clear: to create something that truly serves people, not just their bodies, but their minds and spirits too. I believe that is why people keep coming back. They can truly feel the difference.

Nathan, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My journey into this industry began with a trip to Thailand, where I experienced their massage culture firsthand and immediately noticed how different it was. It wasn’t rushed or transactional. It was quiet, thoughtful, and genuinely healing. When I returned to San Antonio, I knew I wanted to create something inspired by that experience, combining it with a sense of luxury and care that was often missing from what I saw here.
I’m not a massage therapist myself. I’m the owner and operator, and I focus on building a space where people feel taken care of from the moment they walk in. Our services include full body massages that blend Thai techniques with Western comforts, like warm oils, aromatherapy, foot and scalp massage, and private luxury rooms. Whether it’s our Signature Massage, which combines the best of Thai and Swedish styles, or a more focused session like Deep Tissue, Swedish, Traditional Thai, Couples Massage, or our Four Hands Massage, each session is designed to be immersive and restorative. The Four Hands Massage is especially popular with guests who want to fully let go, as two therapists work in sync for a deeply relaxing and rare experience.
Each session includes thoughtful touches like hot towels, chilled Saratoga Water, and a Lindt chocolate to end on a sweet note. There is no upselling. Enhancements like Tiger Balm, hot stones, and aromatherapy are already included. We designed the experience to be simple, elegant, and stress-free.
We serve clients who are burned out, overwhelmed, or simply tired of the rushed and impersonal feel of chain massage places. We solve that by offering something slower, more personal, and more intentional.
Every repeat client is an achievement. Every time someone says, “That was exactly what I needed,” that’s the goal.
If there’s one thing I want people to know, it’s that Luxe Thai Massage was created to feel different. It’s not just about relaxing muscles. It’s about creating space for stillness, care, and deep rest in a world that rarely slows down.

How’d you meet your business partner?
We met while she was running a spa in England. At the time, I was still shaping the vision for Luxe Thai Massage, and from the beginning, I admired how deeply she understood the client experience. She brought a level of care, intuition, and calm that matched exactly what I hoped to create.
Over time, we’ve learned a lot about each other and from each other. Building a business together isn’t always easy, but we’ve grown stronger through it. She is my rock! She is without a doubt the person I lean on, the one who keeps everything steady, and someone whose input I trust without hesitation. Her perspective, experience, and heart are a huge part of what makes Luxe Thai Massage what it is today. Without her, this dream would never have been a possibility.

Has your business ever had a near-death moment? Would you mind sharing the story?
There was a point early on when things got dangerously close. We were just getting Luxe Thai Massage off the ground, and while clients loved the experience, we struggled to build enough volume to cover payroll and keep up with overhead. The pressure was intense.
To keep everything afloat, I took a part-time overnight job and also drove for a rideshare company on the nights I wasn’t scheduled. It was exhausting, but I was determined to do whatever it took to stay on track. I couldn’t imagine letting down the people who believed in us.
That season was one of the hardest in my life, but it taught me what real commitment looks like. And to be honest, I couldn’t have made it through without God. There were moments where I had nothing left to give, but He always made a way. I believe He opened doors, gave me the strength to keep going, and helped carry the weight when I couldn’t. In triumph or in trial, to God be the glory.
Looking back, I’m proud of the resilience, but I’m even more grateful for the grace that carried us through it.
